I'm sure there are more than I can remember for myself, but two come to mind right away:

1) I was really high on The Derrick Williams pick. I fell in love with him during the tourney. But he turned out to love being an NBA player, just not on the actual court.

2) I thought Adelman was going to come in here and really move the needle for the franchise. But it just wasn't a good match from the very beginning.

Not going to say I was wrong on Wiggins. I can look at him without the stigma of being a #1 pick. I've never wanted a guy to succeed more. But that's mostly because I just simply liked him. The disappointment is great that he didn't develop into a star, but the Wolves have had bigger problems.

I was one of the more vocal supporters of the Wolves when it came to the Milwaukee vs. Minnesota young cores discussion. I thought Minnesota had the best piece out of either team in Karl-Anthony Towns and that his shooting ability would be the main reason why he was better than Giannis Antetokounmpo.

If Towns had developed into the solid defender most thought he'd be coming out of college, then maybe he'd have a shot at that claim, but he fell short of that mark. Greek Freak went on to win two MVP's, DPOY, and led his team to more wins last year than Towns has gotten in the last two seasons.

- I thought Corey Brewer was going to be Scottie Pippen 2.0. WRONG!

- I thought Gorgui Dieng was going to be an elite defensive player that could almost carry a team on that end. Turns out Rudy Gobert was staring us in the face with that pick. DAMMIT!!!!

- I didn't mind the Wes Johnson pick at the time. UGH!

I thought every single lottery pick we selected would be a perennial all star. Talk about being opTIMistic!

I have too many to count. The most egregious were leaning Okafor over Towns because Towns was just too unproven offensively for me (funny that he turned out to be the polar opposite player I anticipated he would be) and thinking Anthony Bennett was an asset in the trade for Love. He dropped 16/8 on 53/37.5/70 splits in college. That guy should be a prototypical modern day 4 in the prime of his career right now but he just didn't have the mentality to make it. I still don't quite get how these guys don't figure things out mentally to make it in this league with hundreds of millions of dollars potentially on the table for the extremely talented guys. Congrats on making 40-50 million on your rookie deal. Your peers who put in the work just signed for 150-190 million. In the same light I though Fultz was gonna be a stud 3 level scorer who could defend in the NBA and his mental just went nuclear. Guess they need to get me in the interview room with these guys so I can get a better read on how much they want it for my extremely important forum predictions.

My fandom of Shabazz Muhammad was pretty bad. I loved how energetic he was out there and his ability to offensive rebound and get put backs was nice.

But looking back on it he was almost rabbid out there, his basketball iq was terrible, and he barely ever passed the ball.

Back when he was a rookie I had high hopes

I thought A. Wiggins had totally turned the corner at the start of last year when the Wolves were playing kinda good. I had drool on my face the moment we traded Love for him and thought we had a top 10 player candidate. I guess his upside breaks my brain because I still have this thought that somehow GS will unlock A. Wiggins potential.

I can relate on those three, maybe not quite to the same degree but I thought all three of them would have been a lot better.

Wolves Hire Thibs

I was really high on Thibs too, gotta wonder though if Jimmy Butler stayed committed would we have drawn in a 3rd star to make some actual noise?
