Jon K: Timberwolves source to @TheAthleticMIN: No conversations about trading Malik Beasley. There is belief he and Anthony Edwards can play together on the wings. "The focus is to have Beasley back"

Ricky certainly doesn't solve that and Edwards can get shots off but his accuracy isn't there yet.
We need someone else that can make 3s besides DLO and KAT!
Surprisingly, Ricky shot 3s at 36.1% which is almost as good as DLO did last year. But I think Juancho is a bit better than both of them with 3s. But we only have two elite 3 point shooters and they are Beasley and KAT. Nowell has some potential there too if his college and G League numbers can translate.
Ricky only shot 3 a game though so does making 1 3 a game at a league average clip make you a 3pt shooter? Meanwhile D Lo makes as many 3's a game as Ricky takes. You have to actually shoot the ball to be considered a good shooter.
Says who? BTW, DLO shoots near the league average percentagewise in 3s, that's not impressive for a max player and so called "star".

That shooting is going to be missed if we do sign and trade him or lose him for nothing. Before his legal issues I would have been all for signing him long term. Multiple teams interested could be good, sign and trade him for Covington back? for, Myles Turner, or Markanen?

I have to disagree with you on this one, Randle is grossly overpaid and not that good.
I'm still concerned that Malik Beasley is going to be egregiously overpaid. Julius Randle would immediately be the best four on this team with a play style that fits what the Wolves want to do, at least offensively. Randle also doesn't get intimidated by anyone and this team needs guys like that. I'd be all for it.

What the fuck are you even talking about when you question that good shooters have to actually shoot the ball to be considered good shooters? A league average 3 pt shooter gets more points per possession by making those 3's at an average clip than a guy who can shoot 50% from inside the arc. That math has been known and preached for almost a decade now. Russell making a large volume of 3's even at a league average clip is worth more points than Towns making half the post up shots he takes. That just basic NBA math. In a league dominated by 3pt shooting, calling out someone who makes a lot of 3's on average volume is just completely out of touch with the league.

Julius Randle's turns the ball over more than Ricky Rubio. That's horrible for a big to be worse than a point guard. Plus, he can't shoot well from outside and his defensive is not that great. Plus, I don't want to touch his contract. And if Rosas punted on Wiseman, why the h*ll would he want Randle? I'd only be interested in Randle is if we got some nice draft picks to take on his contract.

It gives me some basis for understanding why you would like Randle.
