Sam should replace Sidnet Lowe or the little Adleman with Jerry Sichting. I've always thought Jerry was a really good basketball mind. He was McHale's Xs and Os guy.

I'm not sure about Hornachek as head coach. I still like Joerger in spite of his difficulties so far this season.

Weird stuff going on in Phoenix...I guess nobody's happy when you lose at home to an Okafor-less 76ers. The news makes it sound like the Suns brass fired the assistant coaches but decided to keep Hornacek...very odd decision.

I would also end the little Adelman madness and replace him with Jerry Sichting. I've always thought he got it whenever I listened to him talk basketball. Of course I'm alone here in thinking the same thing about Sid Lowe. I hated him as a PG for the Wolves and didn't think he had the leadership skills needed to be a head coach, but if you listen to him analyze a game, the dude knows basketball. There's a reason the guy is never out of a job, and I see him as a perfect assistant coach for a young developing team. Team him up with Sichting, little Saunders (who I kind of like) and the new guy (who seems to be well regarded in the league), and we would be in good shape with assistant coaches. I'd take that crew over the no-names in Golden State any day.

At this point I don't see why they couldn't just add Sichting now and sort things out after the season. Sam didn't get to pick his assistants but he would have known Sichting pretty well during his stints as a player for the Wolves. Mikt worked with Sichting for a year with the Wizards so there is a connection there. I looked up his playing career and I can't believe Inreally don't remember him playing for the Celtics. He sounds like a pretty damn solid player. He seems pretty well regarded as an assistant having no problem getting coaching jobs. I doubt he will be out of work too long.
