1. It took 30 seconds to find this thread despite it being one year old.

2. I didn't read every page. I never said that I read it "cover to cover." I read about 10 pages back and then picked a random page number from earlier in the thread to see what we as a group were talking about (page 93, if you must know).

3. It was like 10:30 at night on a Tuesday as I was ending my day when I was doing all of this super difficult digging. The italics are sarcasm. What do you think I ought to be doing instead?

If you never read this retort, I still wish you all the best, Cool. We've butted heads numerous times (some your fault, some my fault), but I think you're one of the more important posters here because of how opinionated you are and I enjoyed debating with you for the most part. Perhaps you can take a break from the board and return sometime before the draft. Taking a break from this isn't a bad thing at all, but as most would probably agree, we hope you return at a later date if you really are leaving.

The irony is that he said he didn't want to get involved in these arguments anymore and then he proceeded to get involved by throwing shade at you!

Cool found himself embroiled in an unusual amount of pissing matches over the years for someone of his age (I believe he said his kids are grown at this point), which I always found a bit odd. That being said, he is a passionate fan, loyal poster, and has solid insights largely due to his experience as a coach. Hopefully he'll be back after a break.

Even when I bumped this thread, I could have told you that Cool would have an issue with it. That's just how he and I have interacted on this forum since its birth. The surprising thing was that we didn't really didn't have over-the-top arguments about basketball topics. It was usually little stuff, like how my post was worded or a snarky retort that was then returned with another snarky retort from myself.

I agree with your last two sentences. And while I do enjoy having people to agree with, there has to be someone with opposing thoughts to keep things interesting. He provided some of that. I guess we'll need khans and TeamRicky to make up for him leaving.

Terrible game for him, but that Oklahoma offense might be one of the least imaginative offenses I've seen in a long time.

While Buddy deferred way too much for my liking....there wasn't a team in the country that could have played with Villanova in that game. They were lights-out in every facet of the game.
