I'd be interested in getting Hollis-Jefferson. I don't know how long he'll last, but I'd bet he's going to be a very good perimeter defender in this league with his size, length and athleticism. Unfortunately he can't shoot, but a Wiggins/Jefferson lineup at times could legitimately shut the other team down in my opinion. Maybe Jefferson becomes our small ball 4 defensive option. If he made it to 31 I'd seriously consider him and roll with a Lavine/Wiggins/Jefferson trio that could balance scoring with elite perimeter defense at times.

After watching this I'm really pulling for Bobby Portis. He doesn't really make sense for this team but I would love to have him. Seems like a really good kid

I am with you. I wanted him last year, but he went back for his sophmore year even though he would have likely been drafted before Payne.

No way he falls to 31. Would have to move up to 21 for a chance

I'm bringing this out of moth balls as a reminder. I'm sure most of this was discussed in early may when it was originally posted, but this is Chad Ford's A-Grade 2-round Mock from May 6th. And a couple video tidbits from more recent to accompany it for your own viewing pleasure.

Needs: PF, shooting
Round 1 (1) Karl-Anthony Towns, F/C, Fr., Kentucky

Why doesn't he make sense for this team? We don't have a future PF.

I like all the eurostash players that have been suggested for #36. I really like having that pick.

Yeah we have no long term answer but we have a decrepit Garnett, a spaz and heavily invested in Payne, as well as $7 million dollar man Bennett, not to mention my favorite Bejilica (probably won't come here but fingers crossed), oh and the swiss army knife Hummel.

I'm not sure Flip or anyone else can sell me on spending our assets on a late lottery- mid first round PF. We should use those assets on a PG or a starting quality PF.

So that's what I meant when I said he wouldn't make sense.

Am I the only one that thinks Portis looks like Garnett a bit? Not from a player standpoint, but from a physical appearance standpoint.

I have no clue why Portis projected to go mid first round. I think he should be a late lottery guy.
