After watching his draft express video, Winslow is now my #3 prospect. I love his all around game. He's not a ball dominant player, he can push Wigs to the 2, he has lock down defender potential and I think he could play some small ball 4. Reminds me a lot of Kawhi to be honest. Love the way he plays, just making all the right decisions. If we miss out on the bigs, I want Winslow

Hard not to like Winslow. He's the type of guy you can throw out there and he doesn't need the ball in his hands to impact the game. He defends, rebounds, makes good decisions, hustles, etc. My big question is does he turn into Kawhi Leonard or Michael-Kidd Gilchrist/Al Farouq Aminu? All three are big, strong wings that can defend the hell out of people and rebound. The big difference is that one has an outside shot and the other two don't. It makes a huge difference in their overall impact and that to me is the key with Winslow. He'll be a solid player either way, but having the 3 AND D is just such a huge asset to have on the wing.

Thing I would love about Winslow, is he makes wiggins a match up nightmare. If his floor is MKG, I would take him 3 and be satisfied

Winslow's floor is way higher than MKG in my opinion. MKG has a broken jump shot. Winslow's is not broken and he has a really good dribble drive game while finishing at a good clip at the rim. MKG and Aminu are probably better defenders, but I think Winslow's offense is miles ahead of theirs. He's not a great shooter, but he relentlessly attacks the basket which opens up the space he needs to get off better looks for the jumper because you have to defend his drive first. You can't just leave Winslow wide open like MKG and Aminu. He's good enough where you still have to defend him out to the perimeter.

Winslow shot over 40% from 3 in college on almost 3 attempts a game. That seems to project a lot better than MKG although Winslows pot FT% is a little troubling. I'll be interested to see how Winslow measures out but he has an NBA ready body right now at 19. The guys is a beast.

He made 46 3's on the season, which isn't a huge sample size (for comparison, D'Angelo Russell had the same 3pt % and made more than twice as many). And, to your point, he had a disturbingly low FT%. I'm not sure I trust his outside shot given those numbers. Do I think it has more potential than MKG or Aminu? Yes, but I wouldn't bank on him being the next Kawhi Leonard.

Also, keep in mind who our coach is. Flip Saunders isn't going to give someone like Justise a green light to take open 3's. In other words, rather than encouraging him to look for that shot and not worry about missing, therefore building his confidence up, he'll instead tell him to move in two steps and take a shot he's more "comfortable" with (even though everyone in the world not named Randy Wittman and Flip Saunders knows the 20-footer is the worst shot in basketball).

Ok we are on the same page then. It's not hard to have a higher projection beyond the arc than MKG soooo.... Lol

There's no way you take Winslow over Russell over Mudiay. None.

WInslow to e seems like the wing version of Towns. I still would go Russell 1st. I think the guy will explode in the NBA game with better teammates and he will figure out how to adjust to the speed of the game.

That being said I really like the top 5 in this draft. I think this draft goes down as a really good draft.

Winslow is the best wing in the draft and wings dominate the league. It is extremely plausible he goes before Russell and Mudiay. As confident as you are in Towns, I am in Winslow becoming a good player. He has an NBA game and he was Duke's best player for most of the tournament. He can do everything and excels at getting to the bucket and defending which are very important in today's game. His only real knock is his FT%, but he can do everything else.
