Which is why I don't like it when people toot their own horn like he did. We've all been wrong about things and right about things especially when it comes to the draft and prospects.

Yeah if I ever want to tout my talent guru abilities too much all I have to do is remind myself that I had Ryan Leaf above Peyton Manning going into that draft. Lol

Parker's practically a year behind Wiggins due to his knee injury, but he's turned it on over the last several months. Since February 1st, he's averaging 16.9 PPG (49.6 FG%, 38.9 3P%, 75.9 FT%), 5.9 RPG, 2.1 APG and 1.2 SPG in 36.4 MPG. He's finally healthy and looking good.

That's not even the point, though. The point was how often you told me that Towns wouldn't be an offensive juggernaut. You went as far as to say that I was making things up about his game to make him sound better. You denied that Towns had shooting range. You were so strong in talking down Towns. With how often you and I go back and forth, what fun would it be to not rehash some of these comments?

Camden: "Meh. Somehow the new narrative on the board is that Towns can't score. Good job, khans. That one's your doing for the most part.

I want a guy that's gonna impact the game everywhere while having the potential to be an 18-20 PPG scorer as well. That's what stars do and Towns is the only guy in the draft with that type of ability. Russell comes next in that regard, but his defense isn't necessarily a strength."

khans2k5: "It's pretty simple how that narrative came to be for me. He's not close to that in college and yet add that to the list of stuff that he's just going to start doing at the next level for you. He's not creating his offense off the dribble like Davis can so I don't see how he jumps from 10 PPG to 18-20. Even if you bump his minutes to 30 that's still only a projected 15 PPG in college, not the pros. Comparatively Okafor is averaging 18 per game in 30 minutes and he's doing it at an elite efficiency level. Towns' highest scoring games against ranked opponents was 10 against Louisville and Texas (when they were ranked). He hit 18 PPG> just 4 times this year and 1 tourney game against a small frontline. There's only 3 C's in the league at 18 PPG> (I included Gasol with his 17.8 ), so your assumption is Towns will be a top 3 offensive C in the league which is even higher than Al Jefferson, Al Horford and Brook Lopez. So I apologize for doubting your reasonable expectation."

Hey, I can do this too.

"Nik Stauskas. My hunt is over. 6'6, 205 lbs. Puts the "shooting" in shooting guard. Off the dribble. Off a dribble hand-off. Catch and shoot. Legit range. Uses a bunch of clever stepbacks. Can make shots with defenders all over him. Good passer; great in the P&R. Can hit the rolling man in rhythm; can also drive and leave the rock for a big man. Can consistently throw a good lob for an oop (we need more athletes, but still). Takes care of the basketball. Very good TO/AST rate. Smart player too; gets to the FT line at a good clip. Can finish with both hands (right hand dominate). He's underrated as an athlete too (probably because he's white). Reminds me of Gordon Hayward in terms of athleticism.

Future All-Star, in my opinion. If we miss the playoffs, Stauskas is my man."

I've already owned up to Stauskas likely being a miss, though he's been solid since January 1st. Still doesn't change anything that you said about Towns.

(I was also high on LaVine earlier that same year.)

"This kid's gonna be a high quality player at the next level. Freshman at UCLA. Quite the shot-maker and a truly gifted athlete.

He might enter the draft this year, but hopefully he doesn't since we might not have our first round pick. I'd love to get this guy playing with Rubio and Love. My goodness.

If you can't watch UCLA games, watch some of the videos of him on YouTube just to get a slight feel for his game. Whoever ends up with him is likely getting a hidden gem. All this talk about Parker/Wiggins/Randle/Smart and not enough hype for LaVine."

And I've moved on from my Towns comments as well, but here you are again tooting you own horn and bringing it back up again. I've done nothing but praise Towns for his play since the draft.

All I did was bring the thread up. Initially, I didn't name you for anything you had said. I didn't name bleed for wanting Russell. I didn't name anybody. I said it was an entertaining read and left it at that.

And then you got all defensive for no reason and threw out the Parker/Wiggins positions we had. So, at that point, I figured it was game on. It also just felt right to throw those Towns comments at you. You gave me a lot of shit pre-draft, and a lot of it was way off. I'm not allowed to pump up my chest about it? No fun.
