Byron Scott has been fired from the Lakers. What took so long? I figured that's about how Glen was going to do it but we have already hired Thibs. Did I step into an alternate universe? Lol

It's like you have only one dose of a killer virus but two hated enemies to give it to. I'd have to give it to the Lakers if only because I hate traitors, and there's little more traitorous than a pro team leaving their fans for another city.

I don't think we'll be that lucky to see the Lakers go after Rambis (Phil might use Rambis as his sock puppet though). There are still some good names out there: Jeff Van Gundy, Luke Walton, David Blatt, Kevin Ollie, Jeff Hornacek, Ettore Messina. I'm thinking Walton for LA and Van Gundy at Houston.

Honestly so think the Knicks are screwed. Why? If Phil is determined to do the Triangle thing it's going to be a disaster and comically Rambis probably is about the best man for the job in that scenario. I just don't see any coaches out there that are going to be good enough at running the Triangle to make the triangle work.

A lot of coaches run triangle concepts and they're still very successful in today's NBA. It dictates that players move the ball and move off the ball as well. They just throw in other wrinkles for various reasons. Thibodeau's offense has some triangle in it. Kerr's does as well. I'm pretty sure Pop has some too. Phil's probably wants everything to be triangle, though, and that's where I think he'll go wrong in today's NBA.

Phil's triangle would work just fine in Todays NBA if the Knicks had Jordan or Kobe. They need the horses to even put it to the test. Minnesota and the Knicks have shown that the triangle is just as shitty as any other system when your team is horrible. I actually think Phil has done alright positioning that team in the right direction. He's trimmed the fat and scored big on Porzingis in the face of an irate fan base. This is definitely a do or die type move though, to try and put Rambis in one of the most high profile job in sports.

I'd actually like to see Kevin McHale end up in LA, believe it or not. I think he could mold that team into something worthwhile with Russell, Clarkson and Randle.
