I look at this as a year of learning for the Cavs organization. They will figure out what parts fit together and which parts don't, then make moves either before the trade deadline or during the offseason to construct a team around the core they decide to keep. I think Irving, Waiters, and Blatt could all end up being swapped out eventually.

I don't see Irving going anywhere. If they shopped him I would be all for trading Rubio for him.

I think they will try to do everything possible to make it work with Irving. But if ultimately he isn't meshing and LeBron wants him gone, he'll be traded.

Rondo would be a perfect fit for the Cavs

I think Irving is the reason Lebron went back to Cleveland. I am not worried about Irving. He has proven he can play team ball this summer with a better team then Cleveland has.

Rondo would be prefect. I wonder if they would be interested in Waiters for him.

I don't see how Rondo fits well you would have like 1 true shooter on the entire team in Love. Yeah Lebron can shoot but I just don't see him and Rondo working that well together.

Irving and Lebron will figure it out. It took a while (really like an entire year) for Wade and Lebron to get it figured out and I think Irving is a better shooter than Wade ever was so they may be able to fit better down the road.

Cavs and lebron wont trade irving guys. He is the future of the team, a great talent and whos game fits with lebron and love once he figured it out. He just needs to eliminate the bad habbits he formed in his first 3 years( iso, selfish ball) and play the way he did in team usa.

Heck lebron wont even consider going home if irving wasnt there. Just like he wont even go to miami if wade wasnt there. irving is staying, the cavs will trade love first before considering trading kyrie.

Sounds crazy, but for months---and I knew it had ZERO chance of happening--- I was saying to my friends that we should make a run at Lebron.

Seriously. Top to bottom, I think that we're better then them (last years team).

http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CLE/2014.html

Pek and Dieng by year's end was better then Varejao.

Love equals Love.

Brewer was NOT as good as L Deng but Lebron would be the 3 anyway. So it wouldn't have mattered.

Martin is better then Waiter.

But the key thing is Rubio. While not a great shooter, is exactly the PG that Lebron needs. Kyrie could score all he wants but he has to realize that he has 2 other very capable scorers on the team----top 10 guys in the whole darn league!!! That's what he has to realize and learn. Then again, Rubio is hurt and can't even play cause of his bum ankle....LOL.

Cleveland continues to struggle. Just when it seemed like they were starting to figure things out, they lose by 9 at home to the 2-7 Nuggets...Cavs are now .500 at home.

You look at the stats, and it's difficult to understand how they lost. They shot 43%, outrebounded Denver, got to the line more, and had the same number of TO's. But then you remember how Love, Irving and Waiters play defense. they played 105 minutes and Denver shot 48%. Love had his usual great offensive stats...20 and 11...but led the team with a -14. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

When a new team gets assembled, it often takes several weeks to get on the same page. But usually this shows up on offense, not defense, and the Cavs have been just fine on offense...they just can't stop anyone. They are so loaded with talent that I still think they will be fine, but their defense will determine their fate in the playoffs. The question is whether the Matador 3 aren't putting in the effort on defense, or whether they just aren't capable of playing good defense. If it's the former, they may continue to coast during the regular season and then turn it on for the playoffs. But I'm beginning to wonder if the issue is the latter. A team with this kind of fire power should not be 5-4

I just looked. Love is shooting 37% this year with 17.1 points a game. He is shooting worse on 2pts then 3's. He certainly has not found his place there yet.
