Well that was an interesting move on James part, though given how well they've been playing of late, Love included, the timing doesn't appear to be well considered. Sounds like he's alienating himself again which just goes to re-enforce what became pretty clear in Love's Minnesota years, that being Love isn't a particularly lovable person.
The evidence really seems to point to Love being a cancer and a shitty teammate. All the buzz was that no one liked him here and now it seems that he is getting some of the same treatment there. I love that there is someone to put him in his place. The guy is a total douche.
I thought at the time and still do believe the Cavs were foolish trading for Love. They had a solid young PF who is a great rebounder in Thompson. They the top pick in the draft who many felt was going to be the next superstar. Plus they would have the cap room next offseason to add good support players. I think Love and the Cavs part ways after the season. They will have traded Wiggins, Bennett, and a first round pick for one season of Love.
Which lineup you taking:
C- Mozgov
PF- Thompson
SF- James
SG- Wiggins
PG- Irving
C- Mozgov
PF- Love
SF- James
SG- Smith
PG- Irving
For me I pick the first one. 5 years from now Wiggins and Irving would be in their primes and outstanding.

5 years from now Lebron will be a corpse because of all the minutes he has played in his career. They didn't have 5 years to wait. Wiggins also would have never developed this quickly on that team because he would have always been an offensive afterthought. Could you imagine the panic they would have been in if Wiggins had his same first 26 games there and Love was dropping 25 and 12 here?

That's all hindsight. They made that trade during the summer w/o seeing much of Wiggins. Love is a legit star and the Cavs are fucking it up. When you have one of the best offensive rebounders (if not THE best) in the league you don't just stick them in the damn corner lol. It's idiotic how they have been using him.
Kevin Love showed his true colors in this interview and from that moment I knew he was gone after the season. The kid just doesn't have any idea how petulant he looks on and off the floor with his bad body language and whiny comments.

So glad we ended up with Wiggins
What the hell are you talking about? The guy is bummed about losing and he looks petulant? You want him to have a smile on his face after that loss, which I remembered was the kinda nail in the coffin game for the Wolves playoff hopes. Time to stop looking for any little thing to rip Love about and move on already

Well going deeper into the story, Lebron wants Love to come out and party with the teammates more. Love is just a guy who would rather stay in and chill out. So we rip athletes all the time for partying too much and not take their job serious enough, but hey when Love does it, he's a cancer and a shitty teammate. Unbelievable, this guy could save a bus of orphans and people would rip him for not giving them a ride home afterwards
I think this is on LeBron. I think he wanted Love and being the leader you figure out how to make it work. You can't expect to change Love to who you want to be without some give and take. I really think it will be interesting if Love resigns. He doesn't seem to happy there.
It's interesting to see some of the numbers posted by individual players in Cleveland.
One game Love gets 18 shots. But JR Smith hardly shoots.
The game before, Irving takes 26 shots and Love only gets 8.
The game before, Smith, Love and James get looks but Irving only gets 5 shots.
Is this feeding the hot hand? Or, is it feeding egos?
If it's the latter... it's an ongoing chemistry issue that will be a huge issue in the playoffs.

I think it's less about Love wanting to resign... as James wanting Love to resign.
Personally, I don't think Love will. Not anymore. Cleveland isn't using him in a way to maximize his ability to score and pass. So, why not dump Love and get a guy like Ryan Anderson to do what they want Love to do... only better.
