Iguodala. Brandon Rush is quite the step down in many areas.
Iguodala is simply a glue guy. He does a lot of little things well on both sides of the court.

Iguodala further highlights how you need to be aggressive in free agency even with young talent if you are serious about winning.

Well, to be fair, the Warriors were quite a bit further in their development when they went after Iguodala. They knew more about what they had. For example, Iguodala went from a starter to a bench guy because GSW had some legit horses.
I think the Wolves are still figuring it out quite a bit. That's not to say FA isn't the way to go... just noting that GSW struck the right guy at the right time.

I could be wrong, but I thought the real reason for moving Iggy to the bench was because Barnes offensive production was seriously slipping when he was asked to be the sixth man. For the betterment of the team, Barnes was reinserted into the starting lineup in a role he has thrived in as a 3/D wing who can play small ball PF and Iggy was a legitimate sixth man for the W's who also gave that unit another ball-handler; something Barnes was not comfortable nor capable of doing.

- As noted, the Warriors miss Iguodala and the two bigs. But that's still a legit team and the Wolves were right there.
- Per usual, Sam is getting killed here. But only one mention of the unique switching strategy the Wolves tried? The guy is too set in his ways... but kudos for trying a newer tactic and taking a chance. It worked for the most part. I don't want Mitchell to be the coach next year either. But we can be objective about him...
- My two biggest NBA crushes were on display. I didn't expect Rubio to outplay Curry. But he did...
- The bench has been mentioned. It will lose several more games this season.
- The starters can score. They're fun. Yes.

I thought it was interesting Sam went with a much shorter bench in this game. I don't know if Smith would have played in this game if Dieng hadn't picked up those fouls. Also Smith was the guy he called on. Interesting.
One thing that hit me watching this game is what if this team is actually a couple legit rotation players from making a big jump? Why not bring Prince back if he is interested? He can defend and pass the ball for 15 mins a game if needed. What a luxury he would be for cheap. I could see him wanting to stay with Kanter if Arnie sticks around which I really really hope he does.

Interesting topic. Prince was probably the least objectionable out of the "Over the hill gang" they had this year. But personally, I'd rather move on. I just want someone that's not a minute restriction due to age for cripes sake. I'm tired of guys "needing a rest". There's a place for guys like that....a friggin retirement home! :-)
