A trade that I've been pondering over lately is Brewer for Dion Waiters.

I love Brewer and would hate to see him go, and am not a huge fan of Waiters but I see this trade benefitting both teams. Love throwing outlets to his old running partner Brewer AND LEBRON! Now that would be fun to watch. Brewer could also slide in to their starting lineup at SG. Irving - Brewer - James - Love - Varejao

No doubt Dion Waiters needs a change of scenery! That might be exactly what he needs to take the next step.

I like this too. Waiters might even be enough for the 76ers to take Bud in on trade to them to clear him off the books.

I am officially crazy, but a Thad and Bud for Josh Smith trade is starting to appeal to me. Cap space is useless to us until we can start winning again. Smith is a much better defender and rebounder than Thad. There is a slight drop off in offense, but not a significant one. Josh Smith would love Flip's long two's even though he is not good at them, but a happy Josh Smith should at least be a really good defender. This team is just a revolving door on defense right now and Smith would provide some needed rim protection with his almost 2 blocks per game. The extra 3 boards a game would help as well. Bud isn't doing anything for us this year and he gives SVG another shooter which he really doesn't have in Detroit. Thad's rebounding and defensive deficiencies don't really matter next to Drummond. He is also a smarter offensive player than Smith so SVG will probably appreciated less bad jump shots. I think it helps both teams. Smith is also a better fit next to Pek with his defensive capabilities than Thad. Bazz has shown he can shoulder the scoring load for the starting 5 and Josh can be a secondary scorer while upgrading our horrendous defense. He's also getting almost 5 assists a game which is a nice addition to his game. I used to think Smith was the worst contract in the NBA, but now I think he could actually help us not be a complete embarrassment on the defensive end which should help prevent the team's overall confidence level from getting shattered after giving up so many points night in and night out.

He's also taking 14 shots a game and making under 40% of them. It's even sadder knowing that a year ago he was one of the elites in finishing in the painted area. Plain and simple, the guy's an idiot on the basketball court.

Josh Smith not so much. I tried to talk myself into him in the past and it doesn't work.

Lance Stephenson is still a guy I would consider.
