Re: Targeting PF's
Bennett jumped around the various draft boards right before the draft as much as anyone. During the season he was ranked highly on most boards, but his stock began to plummet after the season ended as concerns about his asthma surfaced. In addition, his 15 pound weight gain after shoulder sugery scared some scouts. By draft night, he had dropped out of the top five in most mocks I saw. It was a surprise to me too when he went first, although from a pure talent perspective, I had him rated as high as anyone.
Frankly, my biggest concern about AB remains the asthma, and whether that is something that is going to hold him back. Dennis Rodman had asthma and nobody really noticed, but there are degrees of affliction. Bennett only played about 25 minutes a game at UNLV, and I wonder if his asthma was the limiting factor. I'm sure this is something the Wolves are looking at very closely during this waiting period.
But putting the asthma aside, I find myself getting more and more excited about AB. His skills and athleticism are unusual for a guy with his size. and his 7-1 wingspan compensates nicely for his below average PF height. I was quite familiar with his basketball skills at UNLV, but today I went back and watched some of his interviews, and he is very impressive as a person. He shows a great deal of intelligence, poise and humility in his interviews, but also displays a quiet confidence.
I'm still in the "In Flip we trust" camp, but I will be disappointed if he includes AB in a package to bring back Thad Young.

Great post not that it really matters but I distinctly remember Bennet moving up in the last 30 or so hours before the draft there was a lot of buzz about him. Was that legit? Idk I was following Draft Express on Twitter then. Lol.
Sidenote: In all seriousness I put more stock in what Draft Express says when in comes to the draft at least where guys are going to go than anywhere else. I don't know their history but it seems like a website that started out small and now is a very impressive website with about the best colletion of info of prospects/players.

Draft Express the best for stuff like that, in my opinion.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Draft Express, too. I especially like the 15 minute draft profile videos they do for most of the potential lottery picks. Very balanced report generally. They can get brutal in their criticisms and even provide highlighted video evidence supporting their points.
Which reminds me...I was looking for Zach LaVine's draft profile video yesterday and couldn't find it. Could it be that draftexpress didn't do one for him?

Hmmmm...it's either a problem with my computer or with the draftexpress site today, because I can't get the video to play. Does the link work for you, monster?
Re: Targeting PF's
Yep it worked on both my Blackberry and on my computer running Firefox.

Works here. Really like the possibility with Bennett. Guy was a beast at UNLV. Finishing over and through people.

Yeah, the Bennett link works fine for me (it is an impressive video, isn't it bleed), but the Lavine link monster provided doesn't link to a similar video for me. I'm curious to see what draftexpress listed for Zach's weaknesses.
