It probably doesn't matter since it sounds like our PF openings will be filled via trade(s), so Cam doesn't have to blow another gasket. But needless to say, I've set my DVR to record the next broadcast of that Wolves Weekly show!!! :)
I'd be all for Elton Brand. Sure he's not the player he was five years ago but he'd be a great mentor to the younger guys and could probably be picked up for the vet min. Better option that Dante 'brick' Cunningham imo.

I like the player Blatche has become, but Flip didn't do well coaching him last time. I am not sure he is the type of presence we want next to the younger guys unless Sam M is willing to chaperone him. Blatche seems like a guy that would flourish on a vet team like SA. I do like Brand, but wonder how much he has left in the tank.
Brand I've been a big fan of him since he came into the league. He seems like a guy that would be a great fit as a vet guy to mentor players along with his ability to play both PF and C which is the type of guy we don't really have. I looked at his stats and he looks to be in a decline but then I noticed 1.2 blocks per game in less than 20 minutes. That's pretty good.
I'm a huge Dieng fan myself, but from what we have seen from him, pulling him 15+ feet from the basket to guard PF's (more and more PF's are becoming stretch 4's), I just don't see the lateral quickness to keep up. He is best when he can stay in the paint and protect the rim. Just my opinion.

I don't actually mind Cunningham, it's just the fear of him getting anymore than 12 mpg that worries me.
Blatche actually makes the most sense. He's matured as a person and player, and is pretty solid all round big (except 3pt shooting). I suprised the Nets haven't resigned him.

I read an article and when they asked the Nets GM if he was interested in bringing back Blatche he said "No". He was away from the team for a few days and Wonder if all his issues are in his past. If Flip brings him in then it must be fine. I'm still a little skeptical.

I never thought he got enough burn with the Pistons. I think he could put up simular numbers to Young. It really sucks we didn't sign Ed Davis. I think he could have been a good player to give a shot at an expanded role.

What would you propose doing then? When Pek is healthy, he'll get 30 minutes per game. Do we really want one of our better players from last season to only play 18 minutes per game as Pek's backup? And then there is Turiaf, who proved to be very effective in the limited minutes he received last year. He wouldn't even get off the bench. Meanwhile, we're barely making ends meet at PF with Young and.....who else?
It just seems like an inefficient use of resources to have three of our solid players - Pek, Dieng, and Turiaf - to all be limited to Center. Dieng is the one guy who could play some PF.
