The team has asked Brewer to do two things: play and D and shoot somewhat respectably from 3: he hasn't done much of either this season.

I think SG is more of a problem. IF we could flip Moute/Budinger for OJ Mayo I would do it.

If you had Mayo on your team, would you trade him for Bud and Luc, bleed?

I guess Brewer stated his case last night. But seriously, based on what we knew about him coming in this year, he's been everything we could have asked and more.

I was hoping that his 3-point shot from the corner would be more like it was last year. I also hoped that he would be a more effective one-on-one defender. Maybe I just didn't know enough about him.

Having said that, he's been one of my favorite players this year. His upbeat personality makes him very easy to cheer for. And he is absolutely fearless, not to mention effective, on the fast break...makes for a lot of excitement! And last night was special...never would have see it coming.

All that said, last night likely put him on the radar screen of a few GMs, and 12+ points a game plus top ten in steals could be attractive to a few teams. I love Corey, but if he can bring us a more complete (but probably less exciting) player in return, trading him might be a good option for us. But if we can't get a good return for him, I will welcome back Corey with open arms.

As others have said it all depends on what we get back, any of them should be traded if they can bring back something that would help us more. That said the 2 I voted for where Bud and Shabazz. I don't think Hummel has any real value so no point in putting tons of effort into trading him. Similarly, Luc is good defensively but pretty terrible offensively and you don't often see teams give up anything of value for guys like that. Chase is tall and somehow has a reputation as a shooter so there could be a chance someone would go after him. Shabazz is a rookie and once a top prospect so I could see someone giving up something of value for him.

After last night Brewer deserves his own paragraph. He has his flaws but no one can argue the fact he brings it every single game, something this team has really needed. I think the effort, energy, and intensity he brings is contagious and is part of the reason we haven't completely collapsed like we did the last couple years. Rubio used to be our only gamer, even though we're out of the playoffs it's so much nicer watching him, Brewer, Dieng, and Turiaf actually compete until the end.

I think his season last year with Denver put him on the radar with a few GMs, including Flip!

But yeah, what he'd done this season, including last night, makes him probably the most marketable SF we have on the roster and the one that would bring back the most in return.

Brewer's one of those guys that you can win with. Always has been going back to high school, college and even with the Mavs (role was minimal). SF is cluttered, but Brewer's the guy I want backing up SG/SF or spot-starting here and there if need be. He's been awesome this year and actually well worth his pay. Get rid of Bud and Mbah a Moute. Keep Brewer and Shabazz. Hummel can make his minimal salary and stay on the bench.

Trading Brewer doesn't make a big impact for us unless we get a SF that's better than him (unlikely) or if he's in a trade paired with Bud/MaM for cap relief.

I am with Cam. I want a SG. I am fine going with Brewer (speed and intensity), Shabazz (toughness), and Hummell (shooting) at SF next year. I would like to see use move Moute and Budinger for a backup PG or SG. Better yet a combo guard.

Bumping this thread because we still have all of these guys plus Wiggins and GR3 coming in.

Lurking on the RealGM forum and one of the posters listed several tweets from Wolves beat writers concerning our SF around halfway down the page. The general sentiment of those tweets is that Shabazz won't be moved as he is one of Flips "guys", Brewer won't be moved they like him as a bench option, Budinger won't be moved as he provides shooting, and they obviously want to keep Hummel as they just resigned him. So it's looking like Moute will probably be moved.

Assuming we do find a way to sign GR3 and Moute is moved we still have a logjam at SF. Sure Bud and Brewer can play SG, Hummel, Shabazz, and even GR3 can play some PF if you need them to, but what the hell?

I don't think Barea or Shved will be on the roster opening night either so our depth chart might look something like this

Martin/LaVine
Wiggins/Brewer/Budinger/Shabazz/GR3/Hummel
Thad or Bennett
Pek/Deing/Turiaf

I still don't feel comfortable with the number of SF's on the roster

I wouldn't expect Hummel or GR3 to play this year. I expect them to be roster filler who will only play pending injuries which I'm fine with. Apparently Flip just likes everyone so I don't know how he'll manage the rotation.
