Good to hear Shabazz played aggressively and was one of the high scorers. Assuming Love gets traded, we actually need Shabazz to play a bigger role as a scorer off the bench. In fact, other than Pekovic and Martin, there really isn't anyone else on the roster with a mentality for putting the ball in the hoop.

Lavine could very well be very good, but he's so far away right now that's it's not fair to expect anything significant from him this year

No rookie has done any of that, yet I don't fault teams about getting a little excited about the potential of their draft picks. Nobody is saying he's going to walk on the court and be Russel Westbrook, but damn let people share a little excitement about aspects of his game that they saw at the scrimmage/soon to be SL. We could have drafted MJ himself and you would still be knocking him ohh he's just a rook blah blah blah. Its going to take time for him to develop, but let us get excited about one of our players for cryin out loud.

Note: This isn't even summer league. It was a scrimmage. Nothing that happened means absoultly nothing. zip, zero nada. Even if Bazz scored a 100 or Lavine did a 1080 dunk.

Think people are just happy to see something potentially franchise-changing to root for. There's no denying LaVine's potential, and that in itself is enough to get me excited.

I'm almost positive people said the same thing about Derrick Williams, about Jonny Flynn, Wes Johnson. They all looked good in summer league. Oozing with potential they were

I didn't say the same thing about Wes, Flynn or Derrick. And I actually liked all three coming out of college. I not only saw all three in Summer League. I also saw them live in pre-draft workouts. None of them came close to showing the combination of athleticism, skills and instincts I saw from LaVine last night.

Nice cut-up of some cool highlights from the scrimmage. I know it's early, but I'm in love with the LaVine and Robinson III picks.

Thanks for posting, Cam...good stuff.

I noticed the tagline at the start of the video was "This is OUR time". Any truth to the rumor that Kevin Love made a similar video last night, and entitled it "This is THEIR time"?

I never thought Wes or DWill were ever that great of athletes. Looks like we got a lot more athletic with this draft.

And nothing ever changed in the big league. Dude sucks. How can you be the 2nd overall pick and not even have enough consistency to be a reliable rotation player?
