It's hard to see us finishing first if Denver wins tonight at the Clippers. Even with a Denver loss tonight, I think we will have to beat them in Denver to have a chance. In my opinion, here is what we need:
1) A Denver loss tonight (50/50)
2) A split for us against Phoenix and the Lakers (Better than 50/50)
3) A win in Denver (Less than 50/50)
If those three things happen, we can finish first.

Yep, that would be a pathway to 1st, and I'll be cheering for the Clips tonight. Unfortunately, Kawhi is not going to play, and that's not good news.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 8:00 pm It's hard to see us finishing first if Denver wins tonight at the Clippers. You guys are doing a great in my absence! I am hanging out in Cartagena today. And I see that if the Wolves finish out their remaining games at 5-1 they are guaranteed the #1 seed!
Of course, we have some tough games coming up. But each time OKC and DEN lose in their remaining games, our magic number goes down. OKC has some tough games left, but Denver only has the Wolves.
It sure seems like the #2 seed is becoming our floor!
Re: Playoffs predictor
Technically if the wolves go 5-1 and the nuggets and thunder go 6-0 we would be the 3 seed. At this moment we have head to head tiebreaker against both teams but if it’s a 3-way tie we are 3rd in tie breaker standings, that changes if we get the nuggets60WinTim wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 8:37 amYou guys are doing a great in my absence! Hmm. My math says in that remote possibility (because I don’t see OKC going 6-0) the Wolves would be #2: OKC would have the best record among the 3 at 5-3, then the Wolves at 4-4, and Denver at 3-5. Am I wrong?kekgeek wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 8:47 amTechnically if the wolves go 5-1 and the nuggets and thunder go 6-0 we would be the 3 seed. You are correct and I am wrong. If the wolves lose to Denver the wolves would be the two seed in a 3 way tie60WinTim wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 9:09 amHmm. Re: Playoffs predictor
Exactly. It's about time they faced some adversity after leading a charmed existence all season. I think I mentioned this somewhere previously, but besides their incredible injury luck up to this point, they had not had a road trip more than four games long until the one they are on now. Compare that to the Wolves, who have already had two 5-game road trips and a 6-game road trip. So OKC has one 5-game road trip their entire season and the Wolves have three that are 5-games or longer!
