First time all season they have dealt with injuries and they are not handling it well
Exactly. It's about time they faced some adversity after leading a charmed existence all season. I think I mentioned this somewhere previously, but besides their incredible injury luck up to this point, they had not had a road trip more than four games long until the one they are on now. Compare that to the Wolves, who have already had two 5-game road trips and a 6-game road trip. So OKC has one 5-game road trip their entire season and the Wolves have three that are 5-games or longer!
So true. But they actually have performed better with their injuries than I had forecasted. I had them finishing last night with 5 consecutive losses, but they began their road trip with an upset in MSG. SGA is not going to play in the next game in Charlotte, but if he can return against Sac-town, I still have OkC finishing tied with Denver for first with 55 wins. As for our Wolves, they still seem destined for 3rd, although another upset in Denver could put them in 2nd.

Our chances of gaining the #1 seed hinge on our ability to win in LA tomorrow night. Seems like a tall task given what's at stake, especially for the Lakers. The league would love to get them to 8th or even 7th to insure they make the playoffs. One advantage we have going is LA also has to play tonight. It will be interesting to see how they play these two games in terms of rest.

1) A Denver loss tonight (50/50)
2) A split for us against Phoenix and the Lakers (Better than 50/50)
3) A win in Denver (Less than 50/50)

If those three things happen, we can finish first.
Okay, 2 of the 3 are in the well. I believe the first seed comes down to that huge game in Denver. I see us winning the other three games at home. It's going to be 57 or 58 wins for the Wolves. Shame we let that Bulls game get away.

Let's beat Washington, Denver, and Atlanta, clinch first and rest everyone for that last game against Phoenix. OKC or Denver can worry about the Suns.

All of Denver's starters had to play 28+ minutes tonight to fend off the Utah Jazz, so there's that. Still, Murray is back and I think it's a heavy lift to go in there and beat them again on their home floor.

Magic number is 2 for the wolves to get a top 2 seed
