A lot of the nba media is also pointing out how the refs basically punked Malone when he was clearly trying to get ejected/fire his team up and mark Davis wasn’t having it and effectively just told him to sit down and take the ass-whooping

Should he be suspended? Absolutely the dude behaved so unprofessionally.

But the biggest punishment he's gonna receive is having to be guarded for another game by NAW/Jaden/Edwards that's what he's really worried about, that man wanted no part of that game and the embarrassment he was receiving on national television NAW was literally laughing at him. Which is why I know he didn't care if he got tossed out of the game, I cannot wait for him to be completely dominated again(watch him hit a game winner).

This is a mistake because it sets a precedent that will make it tougher to give a firmer punishment for this sort of thing in the future (which really could hurt somebody). It's not the sort of thing that happens often, but still, you don't want to set a precedent like this as a league. In relation to what he did, he clearly should have been punished more. Rudy's money gesture cost him 50k, so if we assume Jamal was also fined for that, it was only 50k for throwing two things at a ref, one of which ended up on the court and could have hurt somebody. Just an incredibly light punishment, now that I think more about it. Also, they should punish guys in relation to their salaries, IMO. 100k would be a lot of money for Jordan MacLaughlin or Leonard Miller, but it's nothing for Jamal. Fines should be a based on a percentage of the player's salary for that year.

BUT. . .

Bigger picture, I'm actually glad he's not suspended. If and when we finish these guys off (I predicted Wolves in 5 before the series started), nobody can use Murray's suspension as an excuse to belittle the accomplishment. The confidence and momentum behind this team will grow. We'll know we've beaten a stronger team going into the next round. It's good practice for Shai!

Let's fucking GO!!!

At some point, Adam Silver’s pathetically weak leadership will erode the League’s integrity. And that will in turn threaten the League’s fan support and bottom line. Adam is quick to take a firm stand on social issues, but he routinely turns a blind eye to matters that are directly relevant to the integrity of the game.

He cares about the short term. I heard that TV deals are in negotiations right now as a possible motivation. Got to keep those numbers up on Friday night.

His own embarrassment is probably punishment enough to me, along with additional potential embarrassment on Friday night. Will he lose control again though and melt down?

I expect Denver to come in focused. At this point they are heavy underdogs, so they really are playing for pride. I just can't imagine Murray having a performance as bad - both physically and mentally - as the one he had a couple nights ago. Of course, I felt the same way about Phoenix in Game 4 and Ant ripped their hearts out, so that's possible as well!

Carlisle got thrown out of the game....for what I still don't know. Malone and Murray not even a T during the game. My gripe with the NBA, and having the worst officiating of the 4 major sports is that it's so subjective and random game to game. You never know what they'll enforce

last year, Kyle got into it with Braun I think and Murray was like "chill out. scoreboard."

That's the mentality we need to have.

Just gotta get at least one of these next 2, block out all the sweep talk and championship talk and get game 3.

Same old nudity drew, Gobert was fined 100k for his money sign. So essentially murray did the money sign and threw two things at separate times on the court and got the same fine but Murray received no technical, unlike Rudy. Like has been said, they throw everything they possibly can at our team to derail us but this team won't let it happen. And also the inconsistency from game to game is just ridiculous. Hopefully we don't get too big headed on this win and keep up what we have been doing. Love this squad.

I'm not saying I support the decision to not suspend, but I think I know what is going on here. Referees rule differently depending on whether it's playoffs or not, and whether it involves a star or not. In this case it's Murray in the playoffs, so I was fairly certain there would be no suspension. But in other scenarios:

1) If Braun had thrown the heat pad, he would have been suspended. Not a star.

2) If Murray had done this in the regular season, he would have been suspended.

3) The most likely T-Wolf to do something like this might be Jaden. He hasn't reached star status (yet) so he would be suspended...playoffs of not.

4) But if Rudy had done this in the playoffs, he would not have been suspended.

Again, not saying this is right (I'm 100% on the fence on this one)...just saying it is what it is.
