And of course, they won! I've always said DLo's proper role is off the bench. Kind of a Jamal Crawford. Ride him on those nights when he goes on a heater, but bench him on the rest. Reddish is a better option on the starting 5.

Agreed, it's something a number of us were saying years ago, especially once his first big contract ran its course.

As for Cam, it's unfortunate he got so upside down with DLO and seemingly can't let go. He actually had a lot of good takes through the years and knew a lot about the college game and prospects back when we were always in the lottery (although he didn't always get it right with those guys either!).

Silver lining alert!

Wolves now in the Top 10 in Offensive and Defensive Rating. We're 6th overall in Net Rating.

6-4 isn't exactly a hot start, but it certainly keeps us in the mix and we've seen an uptick in our defense recently.

Sad to see Holmgren out for 2 months with a broken pelvis (and even sadder that 3 of our 4 games against OkC occur after Chet comes back ;) ). The Thunder are really going to be small with Hartenstein and Holmgren out.

TheDunkCentral
Karl-Anthony Towns is allowing opponents to shoot 32/35 (91.4%) in the restricted area 😳, per @TimBontemps

SGA is the tallest starter for OkC tonight at 6’6”. Not surprisingly they are getting out rebounded 19-12 so far. But they’re still winning. Hard to see how they’re going to continue to win with that short a team.

And they still are going 6 deep into their bench! It's such an interesting strategy that relies on strength in numbers. I haven't done any reading or analysis on the coach's logic, but my guess is the goal is to maintain defensive energy. OKC has a top rated defense and it isn't because they are huge and imposing.

It's just amazing what the midget Thunder are doing! Last night they beat a Clippers team that shot 54% on threes and outrebounded them 47-29...that's near impossible! How did they do it? Pressure defense and protecting the ball. They had 16 steals to the Clippers 5, and only 11 turnovers to the Clippers 23. And they're going to be even quicker the next two months with Chet out. They are a really fun team to watch, but I still suspect they come back to earth while getting out rebounded decisively every night.

Pels in shambles. With the latest injury to Alverado, wolves legend Jaylen Nowell (on a 10 day) is their only listed "PG".

Injuries are starting to pile up in the difficult West. We need to take advantage while we're still healthy!
