Injuries are starting to pile up in the difficult West. We need to take advantage while we're still healthy!
And win games we are supposed to win!

Spoelstra makes a huge mental gaffe by calling a timeout Miami didn't have to give the game away to Detroit last night. But noooooo, that can't ever happen against us! The shoe was on the other foot with Finch making the gaffes.

I call on the basketball gods to allow the Wolves to play a team that doesn't make 50%+ of their 3s and a coach that throws up over himself for once! We could use the help.

Paris Basketball just beat Euroleague powerhouse Barcelona and have won 7 of their first 10 Euroleague games.

Their president? David Kahn.

OKC just keeps on rolling. They also prove that you don't need a ton of size to be an elite defense. At this point, do they even need Hartenstein!?

Yep...they got a little lucky though with the Suns missing 3 guys who started for them last year (including Allen, who comes off the bench now). The good news is that they might all still be out when we play them Sunday...we need that win!

Wolves ranked 11th in Offensive Rating and 9th in Defensive Rating....not far off from being top 10 in both. That makes it seem like we're closer to being very good than what our own eyes tell us. Which do you trust more?

Q, I can be a little bit of a glass half full guy, but I'm optimistic and believing the numbers more than my eyes. We have two guys in the starting lineup (Randle and Rudy) who have never looked very fluid on offense, despite being part of successful offenses. I'm not sure where we are going to end up in defensive rating this year (Randle doesn't seem to fit our defensive style, Naz is a disaster when he has to play defensive center, and Ant and Jaden just don't seem as hungry as last season), but I think we will be somewhere around where we are now. And once DiVo starts progressing to his mean and Randle gets more comfortable with his new teammates, I see this as a top 5 offense.

Fitting two high usage rotation players into your system takes some time. You only have to look at the 2010-11 Miami Heat for evidence of this. They were 9-8 on November 27 and looking rather clunky trying to figure out how to incorporate LeBron and Bosh into their system. But they figured it out and went on to win 21 of their next 22 games! I'm not expecting this Wolves team to go on a tear like that, but I do think we're going to see the light bulb go on soon and begin realizing our potential.

KAT had 26 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists with only 1 turnover in the Knicks win tonight. Of course, he had 5 fouls. Some things never change. :). I’d feel better about Jaden’s apparent desire to lead the league in fouls if he would consistently put up offensive numbers half as good as KAT’s tonight and play defense the way he did last season.

KAT is a good guy, so I'm enjoying following his personal success in NY...he's having his best season. But even better, the fact that a team that looks as loaded as the Knicks do is bumbling along at 7-6 (6-6 in games KAT has played) makes the Wolves 8-6 record look very good. It's difficult to integrate high usage players like KAT, Randle and DiVo into a new rotation, and we're seeing that with both teams. I think both the Knicks and the Wolves are going to be much better the second half of the season.

[Charania] In the meeting, Maxey challenged Embiid to be on time to team activities, calling out the former league MVP about being late "for everything" and how it impacts the locker room, from other players to the coaching staff, sources briefed on the meeting told ESPN.
