If you can't coach defense during an All Star game when every player out there is locked in and focused on stopping the other team, how can you expect to be successful during the regular season?
I can always count on you FNG to take the bait. The reasons I want Finchy gone have very little to do with Finchy's embarrassing coaching performance at the all-star game, but that he shares qualities with Thibs that got him fired there--failure to make adjustments when things aren't working, lack of a deep rotation and overplaying guys when game is out of reach. Finch has gotten the Wolves as far as he can, and its time to move on from him.

Ha, very little to do with the all star coaching you say. And yet you’ve now brought up twice. Maybe it’s just me, but when I bring up something more than once, it’s pretty important to me.

Actually, I brought it up once as a comical aside, but others brought it up after that and I responded. But my dislike of Finchy predates that dubious distinction.

The New York Knicks requested permission to speak to Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch and Houston Rockets coach Ime Udoka for their head coaching job, but were denied on both, sources tell ESPN. Knicks could request permission for other current head coaches too.

And now declined for Kidd and Quin Snyder.

Dolan is asking out every girl at the party who already has a boyfriend.

Nori becomes Knicks new head coach. Malone becomes Wolves new assistant.

I expect Nori to get the job too. He has earned a head coach role, and the Knicks are pretty desperate. I’ll be happy for Micah because it will be a life changing payday for him, but I’m also unhappy for 2 reasons. One, we will miss him, both his talent and his humor. And two, I think he will be unsuccessful there…and not due to his failings. NY is coming off a very successful season after which they fired their coach, and few think they will win as many games as they did last year. If they don’t win 50, and I don’t think they will, he’ll be crucified there. I hope he signs a long term contract with an attractive buyout.

It would be cool to see Nori get a head coach gig.

It would be tragic, and career-killing however, if his random team of stars didn't perform to expectations in an exhibition game in February though.

I don't think Malone is the right guy to take Nori's spot as an assistant even if I like Malone. Nori seems more of a guy that is more of a chill person and Malone is known as a fairly intense guy. Malone was a defensive coach and they already have their defensive coach in Elston Turner. The Wolves have already lost Corliss Williamson to the Spurs staff but if I remember right he was only here for a year. I'd like to see someone added to the staff that has some sort of offensive minded guy.
