Ha, of course it all hinges on Rocco!

As for the rest of the roster, an Edwards/Beringer/Rocco (take your pick)-Miller-Shannon-Clark-Dillingham starting lineup certainly looks pretty damn exciting on paper. How many games all of those guys actually play together is what I wonder.

I mean, Shannon had a cup of tea in the G-League last season and after destroying the competition was quickly brought back up. How does he benefit from this other than playing a game or two just to sharpen the senses?

I am genuinely excited to watch Dillingham, Beringer, and Rocco.
Q did you watch any Iowa games with Amari Bailey? When I was watching some Iowa highlights this week he was kinda popping. He is as Clark's teammate as a freshman at UCLA. His numbers in Iowa were not as good but if I remember right there were some better G-league ninbers elsewhere. I think he was a 2nd round pick higher than Clark in that same draft.
I know nothing about him Monster. I watched Iowa mostly during the first part of the season when Nix, Miller, and Clark were all playing regularly down there and I don't think Bailey was on the squad yet.
I probably knew who he was at one point since I watched some UCLA games after we drafted Clark but basically I forgot he existed. Then watching highlights I was like...whobis that masked man? 😅 He likely came out of college too early but he had some pretty nice numbers his freshman year and one scouting report actually praised his defense. He looked like a pretty smooth athlete.

Whats your take on him? Why were you interested back then?

CJ Fulton is an interesting player. Shot the 3 reasonably well and supposed to be a smart true PG. I watched some highlights he seems like a smart player but also a baller. I wonder if he is a guy they try and get to Iowa to be the playmaker there.

As you can imagine, we were sort of desperate for guards at that time. Amari wasn’t at the top of my list (see assist to turnover ratio), but as you said, he is athletic and can “pop”. His 3-point shooting as a freshman was encouraging.

And I agree with you on CJ Fulton. I guy that creates assists. Something we want alongside Juan for however long he is down in Iowa.

Glad someone else remembers Isaiah Wong. TC should go get him now before it’s too late. Imagine the Wong-Rocco combo!

I want Clark to play every game and take on some ball handling responsibilities for development purposes

Martez Brown if he plays might pop with his athletism. He has quite a story coming from a community college. Q might have a few thoughts on him as it looks like he was playing at least a little pretty much all season.

He didn't stand out with the Iowa Wolves and doesn't seem like someone that could be a rotation piece eventually. Sorry.

Thanks Q. I mostly wondered if the Athletic ability popped more than a few highlights. I didn't imagine him making it from D2 in a conference where his school of 5,000 was by far the biggest to make it all the way to the NBA. It's a nice story and it would be cool to at least see him get some minutes at PF in SL since I assume he played a fair amount at C last year in Iowa.

For me SL it isn't just about all the players there making it at the NBA level but can they improve and for him either this year or down the road improve the options he has internationally. A few months ago he sounded committed to chasing his NBA dream but maybe a better international offer will change his mind.
