But good old TC is not afraid to swing for the fences...

The trade would be built around Randle, who actually makes a lot of sense in LA. Originally drafted by the Lakers, he would give the Clippers a veteran PF with skills they just don't have at that position. A 3rd team and fillers would need to be added.

I remember WW was a big Harden-backer before he was drafted, although he backed out of his backing shortly before the draft. I don't remember what WW's reasoning was for the change of heart?
I was not a Harden backer at all. I was an OJ Mayo guy.

Now I wouldn't want Harden on the team now but for a different reason: he's never reliable when you need him in the postseason. He'll get you to the playoffs, but to me he's Alex Rodriguez without the 2009 run.
It must have been one of our other old-timers I was thinking of…

Yeah, Harden has a poor track record in the playoffs. But so did Randle. I don’t know that I would do the trade, but I support it if TC made the move.

There was a poster on the old ESPN board named Casper that LOVED Harden as a prospect while he was at ASU. That might be who you are thinking of. He ended up being right about him.

With all the talk about bringing in guys like Harden and Morant, I'm wondering if some of you are investors in some of the local strip clubs ;) .

LOL

You sound like Cool! I have zero interest in Morant. And I didn’t know Harden had that in his reputation.

The Morant chatter is head-scratching. At least Harden is playing well, but I don't trust his durability or performance to sustain itself for the entire season and into the post-season.

Yeah, Harden has been terrific this season, but he's way too erratic for my taste.

Somebody (maybe Auusi) recommended Ben Beeken's pod from last Friday, and I agree. He is not in favor of moving Ju for one of the three rumored PG targets UNLESS the Wolves really struggle in the next 8 games. He then ranks them in favor of best fit to worst: Garland, Ball, Morant. I agree with both of his takes.

Hate to keep bringing this up, but Garland has "small volume scoring PG" disease in the playoffs, with just a miserable net rating in 22 career playoff games across three different seasons.

Yeah I really don't like any option and none of them should be made with a mind to change the outcome of THIS season. I think you pull the trigger on a trade if it just become very obvious that the shape of this roster just isn't going to work and you have to go in a different direction. In that scenario Garland is even less favorable and I would personally only pursue Ball's upside, but his bad losing habits scare me. You really have to bet on being able to change those habits

There are more guards out there than that group, many more. Pritchard would be awesome, Suggs would be great, Ty Jerome is another.

I’m a big Suggs fan and think he’d fit well with Ant and Jaden. I like Pritchard too. Not sure what it would take to get either one but I’d much prefer one of those two over Ja or LaMelo considering what we’d likely have to give up for one of the latter two and the baggage associated with both.
