I think they may be really happy with Dyson at PG...if so, they can target Dybantsa or Boozer. Then they still have another mid first round pick. Things are looking up in Atlanta.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 8:58 pmand that Pelicans pick can get them a PG in this draft, anywhere from AJ Dybantsa to Labaron PhilonFNG wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 8:56 pmThis was the only deal I thought possible for Trae. No competitive team was going to take him, and the Wiz needed to add some excitement to keep the fans interested and Trae can be exciting. And Atlanta wanted to get rid of him so badly they basically traded him for a half year of CJ plus the $30 million of cap space they'll get when they don't resign him. I think they're pretty excited about their young core and think they might be competitive with a draft pick and however they use their cap space. Most of all they have to be relieved to be done with Trae.
Trade season

Re: Trade season
Is that a "I wanted Trae" groan?!?
You'll be happy to know I've scoured the trade market for Dilly, and the most likely scenario is Dilly for Keon Ellis, Eubanks and draft capital. Does that make you feel better?!?

Re: Trade season
I really would like a deal around Randle for Irving. I think that we would have a real chance to upset OKC if we did.
Re: Trade season
How about Rob and TJ for Slo Mo and returning the 27 or 29 pick
Re: Trade season
Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller for Kyle Anderson and 2nd RP (2027 via LAC) plus return of one of the 1st pick swaps (if applicable).Phenom wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 10:36 pmHow about Rob and TJ for Slo Mo and returning the 27 or 29 pick

Not a bad idea, although I wouldn’t do it if I were Tim. Slo Mo has no value to the Jazz given where there at developmentally. That means his trade value will be set by the market - i.e., the extent to which other teams are interested in him. I just don’t see a lot of League-wide interest in Slo Mo right now.Phenom wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 10:36 pmHow about Rob and TJ for Slo Mo and returning the 27 or 29 pick

Yeah, the Wolves path to SloMo is as a buyout guy.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 10:26 pmNot a bad idea, although I wouldn’t do it if I were Tim. Its not just about Kyle though. Having one of those picks back could be quite valuable.60WinTim wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 11:16 pmYeah, the Wolves path to SloMo is as a buyout guy.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 10:26 pmNot a bad idea, although I wouldn’t do it if I were Tim. I don't see anyone giving up a pick swap for Dillingham and Miller, unfortunately.Phenom wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 6:21 amIts not just about Kyle though. I was thinking Shannon and Dilly for Kyle and one of our picks back. The picks project to be in the 20s (but you never know) and its actually Shannon that would probably be worth one of those picks. The idea is that they dont have anyone with TJs skills etc on their roster currently. Maybe it could be worked that the Wolves only get it back if it's not in the lottery. They probably wouldn't have use for Dilly and the problem is most teams don't. The depth at his position is fairly broad and robust. It's going to come down to eye of the beholder for a team to use for Rob.SameOldNudityDrew wrote: ↑Fri Jan 09, 2026 6:42 amI don't see anyone giving up a pick swap for Dillingham and Miller, unfortunately.
