You're on fire with your music this week, Q! They used to play this a lot at Target Center...don't know if they still do. I expect they will be playing it whenever Dayo comes in!
Wolves trade number 2. We got Ayo!!

I take back my Grinch theme song aimed at Kek after he suggested that may be the only move we'd make was the Conley trade to save our new(ish) owners some money! And Kek was RIGHT about us landing Ayo.
Kek, Job well done!

Well, Ayo definitely seems like the kind of player we need this season.
Defense, shooting, a little ball handling, passing, and finishing, not being 5'11".
I might wanna watch some old Bulls games and focus on his defense. He seems to be pretty good off the ball, so is he more like a Donte-style defender? How is he on the ball? Could be do what NAW did for us on that front? That would be huge if so.

Had to get a guard who could play some minutes, protect the ball, and bring some much needed depth. Well done TC.

K.C. Johnson
@KCJHoop
A word about Ayo Dosunmu: You can tell he’s a Chicago kid. Wouldn’t be denied. Relentless, hard-working, no-nonsense pro who loved hard coaching and always looked inward. Everything he gets in his career, he will have earned. Was a go-to voice in locker room for what we do.

Yup! And assuming no further moves are made by TC, the Wolves being in position to sign buyout guys who were making more than the MLE will make Minnesota an attractive destination.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 05, 2026 11:04 am Had to get a guard who could play some minutes, protect the ball, and bring some much needed depth. Another way to look at the Ayo trade is would you be willing to give up a future 1st and some 2nds to get Ayo assuming he is also resigned? That probably works for me especially since I'm guessing some of the 2nds in this deal are those ones where its the worst of Denver's and the Knicks or whatever. I'm also guessing (not exactly hard to figure out) that the Wolves liked Phillips more than Leonard.

Or Clark, for that matter. Word is that Finch was annoyed with Clark that last couple games...Monster wrote: ↑Thu Feb 05, 2026 11:28 am Another way to look at the Ayo trade is would you be willing to give up a future 1st and some 2nds to get Ayo assuming he is also resigned? No idea what you’re talking about… his ball handling and passing were very encouraging for a PG his age. His shooting was hit problemAbeVigodaLive wrote: ↑Thu Feb 05, 2026 9:39 amThere are hundreds of players who improve their shooting with development. You gotta play those odds.Crazysauce wrote: ↑Thu Feb 05, 2026 9:34 am My problem is they messed with Robs jumper and now he can't shoot. They should have never done that.
Maybe it's on the player a bit, too?
But more importantly... Dillingham's problems went far beyond poor shooting. He had shockingly poor command of the court with the ball in his hands, which is sorta important when you're a jitterbug type PG.

From Dane Moore:
The Wolves are likely done making moves at the deadline, I'm told.
Still some mechanics to work out on how they're going to handle the move with the Bulls -- use the trade exception or not -- but at this point indications are that it is unlikely the Wolves make another trade.
Buyout market will be the next step.
Gotta say, while I am not enamored with the NAZ-Randle pairing, it was a solid trade deadline for TC.
