Crazy Bulls/Rockets game tonight
Yup! Miller and Dilly carry the Bulls to victory. (Well, Miller was on the floor at the end. And he did play very well)
And Wendell Moore Jr helped carry the Pistons past the Lakers! (From the bench in street clothes…)
Miller played great...every Bull had a positive +-...with one exception
I watched this game and thought Dilly played a solid all around game coming away particularly impressed with his defense and rotations. He is still struggling some at the rim but he showed a nice floater and had a spin move that left his defender guarding air. Looking at his stats for the last five before this one shows he seems to be making significant strides. Miller looked good as well, but still looks a little disjointed inside. Watched Donovan pulling both aside coaching them up during dead balls which is something I never witnessed with FInch. Miller looks like a cheap deep bench guy we should have kept (tweener 3-4 which is something we needed), but with Dilly's contract I think it becomes more complicated.
I really question whether we will be able to re-sign Ayo in the off season. Their was talk last off season about getting an offer for a first rounder for Donte which would have given us room to sign NAW. It seems like Connelly continues to put himself against the wall in these negotiations.

If the goal next seasons is to just stay under the 2nd tax apron, we have about 32 million to spend on Ayo, Bones, a rookie, and two to three more players. We have 190 million committed to Ant, Rudy, Randle, Jaden, Naz, Donte Joan, Phillips and Shannon, and the 2nd tax apron is gong to start at 222 million.

How dare you snub SloMo like that! I can almost guarantee he will be re-signed for next year.

Absent a run to the Finals, I think we are going to see some fairly dramatic changes to the team this offseason that either officially kickstarts the vaunted "Second Window" with the likes of Randle, Rudy, and potentially DDV all being moved for players that are a bit younger along with some salary relief OR a whole new window is opened via a Giannis trade with some of those same players + Jaden or Naz being moved.

As for SloMo, I think his fate is tied to Finch.
I could see it going either way. If we lose in the first round, yeah I think there will be changes. If we get to the 2nd round or beyond, I could see Tim making a huge trade for Giannis or Kyrie type player, making smaller trades for fit, or saying hey let's see what this looks like with a full season of Ayo implemented. Randle would be my biggest question mark this coming summer if we make a change. Rudy is one of our most important players, but he will also be 34 next season. Ultimately a discussion for the off season, but something that will be factored based on our playoff results.

Haha SloMo and Clark are both in the possibly two to three more players tier.

Yep. I believe when Kobe scored 81 he shot 15 of the 17 4th Q shots for the lakers in a double digit win.
To score that many points I really think it’s hard to he “ethical”
To be fair… Kobe Bryant is my least favorite hooper of all time.
But…
The Lakers were down the first 34 minutes of that game vs. a playoff team, including by 18 about midway through the 3rd quarter.
Bryant took 15 of the team’s 21 shots in the 3rd.
He took 13 of the team’s 17 shots in the 4th.
It was a 4 point game with 7 minutes left. Bryant spurred the comeback so why go away from it?
I am way late to the game on this, but was curious if it was talked about here.
This might be a bit of revisionist history. The Raptors sucked that year, finishing with the fifth worst record, winning the lottery, and drafting Bargnani.

Damn it! You're right. My bad.
The Raptors were a playoff team the NEXT season. That's the one thing I went off of memory, or from what I heard elsewhere.
