Lost in the despair of losing two starters and the excitement of Ayo's night, Naz seemed to return to form a little tonight. Only 1 for 5 on treys, but 6 for 8 in the paint, 9 rebounds, and a team-best +14 (tied with Jaden).

He hasn't been playing poorly either thru the first three games (he was tonight before getting hurt). It was Ant that catalyzed the rally when we were down 19 in game 2.

He's been hit with the injury bug and not having him at 100% and DDV casts a cloud over our playoff hopes even if we get past Denver.

I haven't noticed him grab his shoulder for a while. Maybe someone can confirm or deny but maybe whatever was wrong has improved.

Are you speaking of the Spurs defense and scouting?
Both whatever remains with Denver and the Spurs.
Nuggets got nothing, q. His last game should have put them on notice. Join Jaden and the rest of us. They are all bad defenders 8-)
Ha, they have pride and I think we'll see it in game 5. Jaden may have pushed one too many buttons!

even if they lose game 5, the fact that they won tonight means there's a cushion

DDV being out hurts. That's 82 games and 240 threes gone.

I love that he looked to Shannon at least as an option and if Bones or Ayo are off, he's gonna have to be ready. If we get our asses kicked early in game 5, throw Beringer out there just so we get a feel for what his reliability can be even while losing.

Ant being out longer than this series lasts would really suck. Obviously we need him and can't rely on Ayo doing this every night, BUT this is different than if we lose these guys in October. Just gotta gut these games out one at a time. Rudy's playing inspired and the best thing I saw was they didn't really deviate from attacking the paint. Normally they settle for jumpers. They didn't do that until really late. Gotta give the coach props and the players were locked in.

I'm so salty missing most of the 2nd half man.....
What happened with Jaden and Jokic?
Was he that mad Jaden scored at the end?

Edit: nvm I found it. Bad look for Jokic ..

I saw him grab it once tonight, and it was actually after he went up for a defensive rebound. The landing seemed to jar his shoulder. He grabbed at it and then kind of let it hang until he got into the offensive zone, then he was fine.

Abe's "This is one helluva weird night in Minnesota Timberwolves lore" DVR Review:

- Flex action to start. EVERY Wolves player touches the ball on the first possession... and then Randle finishes it with a hoop.

- Divincenzo made a GREAT pass out to Edwards for that three. He had to read Jamal Murray... the easy play is the corner 3 pass but Murray knows that too and leaned a bit too far... Divincenzo knew that option was going to be there and he had perfect timing on it.

- The Wolves look very very sharp!

- Oh. Damn. Awkward silence going to commercial with Divincenzo down, only to hear audio of some guy yelling, finishing with "shut up!"

- OH DAMN.

- Wolves just trying to hold one before the half. They're knocked out on their collective feet.

- Shannon with the HUGE 3 to keep the Wolves within striking distance. And Bones had an awesome 2-for-1 move for a layup and the chance for the ball back.

- The Wolves hung in enough to maybe keep it entertaining in the 2nd half...

- I don't think I've ever seen Mike Conley this animated after calls. He has several fouls now.

- Wolves hanging in, it's a 75-74 game and Randle drives and kicks it to Bones in the corner, only Bones never moved to the corner. Randle is miffed, and McDaniels notices it and says something to him. But this was Bones' fault... AND... Bones didn't acknowledge it was his fault. That's a basketball no-no. You made Randle look bad, so you need to pat your chest or something to let your teammate know you got them.

- AH... THE PERILS of DVR... It was sorta funny while watching because ABC kept giving us those warnings, "Watch on ESPN"... so I knew it was coming, but I was helpless.

- Sorry Mr. President and all that blah blah blah... but I have a game to watch, dammit.

- And we're back and the Wolves are up 8!

- I think I might have missed some good stuff. LOL. (I'm recording the 3:00 one, too so I can see it.)

- We all knew McDaniels was putting that bucket in, right? What a troll since Denver would have to run all the way down there to run it out. I thought of Dennis Rodman while it happened. There's similarities, I'm saying, but not really saying, but...

- Rudy Gobert on Inside the NBA. I love how he starts off a "My pleasure" followed by a slight smirk, knowing all the heat that crew (e.g., Shaq) gives him.

- To be fair though, Rudy is a poor interview. At least today was better than the one yesterday. Just keep playing defense, Rudy. You're like super duper good at it and stuff.

- I don't know if the Wolves can still win this series. In a lot of ways, it doesn't rally matter.
