Seems corrupt, someone should investigate. Do we really think Kawhi is the only one?kekgeek wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 7:59 pmWhat a terrible job by his agent thenWildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 7:17 pmhis deal doesn't present escalators apparently, so his contract doesn't change.

DId you guys consider that OKC did not want to give Chet the max for that very reason, but his agent (Bill Duffy) was able to get the max without the rookie designation clause.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 8:03 pmSeems corrupt, someone should investigate. Jalen Williams had an odd contract as well where it was higher depending on if he made 3rd, 2nd, or 1st team all NBA. Even though he was All NBA last season, he wasn't this year so he doesn't get a bonus on the max either. Both are still max rookie contracts, the just don't have the extra 5% for All NBA.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 8:45 pmIma be honest, i barely understand how the NBA salary cap works or the contract structuresmjs34 wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 8:43 pmDId you guys consider that OKC did not want to give Chet the max for that very reason, but his agent (Bill Duffy) was able to get the max without the rookie designation clause.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 8:03 pm

I'm not gonna lie Kenrich William is a nice player. Versatile defender and he can shoot. He's got a team option this next year, and I doubt they can pick it up. Smart depth add if you can get him I think

Re: Around the NBA:2025-6
When he signed that deal he was coming off another season where he had missed a bunch of games due to injury. It probably was fairly reasonable for OKC to have a couple things that kept the contract from going higher and Chet and his representation probably figured they could live with that based on him still getting a pretty nice max extension with plenty of guaranteed money.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 9:08 pmIs that common? Is that referencing the Wolves getting blown out by like 30+ three times versus the Spurs? I get once it might happen. But 2 now even 3 times in a series, yeah. No bueno.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2026 9:31 pm "serious teams don't get blown out in the playoffs!!!!"
