Impressive win by OKC without two of their best players in JDubs and Mitchell. They're just a freakin' machine. Caruso has dialed his offense up a notch this series and McCain has been huge. It's frustrating to watch how damn good they are despite the injuries. They are so deep.

Yeah. OKC is really really good. And their experience showed in this one over the uber-talented but super young Spurs.

The first 6 minutes of that game was played at a dizzying, whirlwind pace with fast, strong athletic dudes flying all over the place. Just crazy athletic basketball, but very scattered and chaotic. For some reason, I kept thinking about that old SNL Oprah sketch watching it... imagining guys losing limbs along the way as things just kept spiraling out of control.

I agree. I’ll also note that TC could have drafted McCain instead of Dillingham when he traded up.

That's hilarious Abe!

Yeah, Wemby and the Spurs seem to be still trying to figure out his best spots offensively. His sheer height and agility at his size gets him 20 PPG easy-peasy, but after that, what's his go-to move or shot??

He can hit 3s, but he's just OK at them. He can pull up or take turnaround 2-pt jumpers, but he's just OK at them. He can drive to the hoop and easily finish, but half the time he runs into a brick wall and has to pass out while falling down OR he gets his pocket picked.

The one thing he is absolutely elite at offensively is as a roll man finisher, but even then he often gets knocked off balance or pushed out of position while trying to roll, thus isn't able to make himself a target.

Could take him a couple more years to figure out how to be more of an offensive force. That leaves De'Aaron Fox then to be a closer....not ideal.

Yeah. He's still figuring things out. Thankfully.

It's not like I was skeptical of the guy, but damn... he might really change the NBA as we know it. More than I expected. The guy is 9'7" or something and has made 42 of 46 free throws in the series for chrissakes.

[Note: SGA is only shooting 39%, but he's 49 of 51 from the line in the series.]

Prince Victor gets a warning for skipping media availability after last night's loss. Also was not fined for elbowing Naz.

Didn't Edwards get fined something like $288k last year?

I guess we've learned that violence >> words + gestures for the NBA brass.

[Note: Not that the fine (about the equivalent to one of us eating a hearty meal at Chik Fil A) would have hurt Wemby at all. But yeah, the principle of the thing... seemed a bit off.

I love Devin Vassell. The Spurs won't be able to keep all those young guys, I'd target that guy.

Actually they will Cool. Looking at their salary structure, they could literally keep their top 9 guys for the next three or more years.

Really? I figure Wemby, Castle, and Harper will all be max guys eventually. And then you have Fox making big money, how do they pay Vassell and Champagnie?
