Knicks fans are way worse though so I'll take the skinny flopper winning if it means the Knicks fans lose!AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2026 10:04 pmSpurs fans and the Wemby glaze would be insufferable if that happenedWolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2026 9:54 pm You know what would be the greatest thing ever? All fans are annoying to other fans, I just don't wanna hear from everybody forever about how great Wemby is. The Spurs have won enough and are the luckiest franchise ever, I have no problem with the Knicks getting theirsWolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2026 10:24 pmKnicks fans are way worse though so I'll take the skinny flopper winning if it means the Knicks fans lose!AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2026 10:04 pmSpurs fans and the Wemby glaze would be insufferable if that happenedWolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2026 9:54 pm You know what would be the greatest thing ever? Obviously to each his own tho

There are also so many great loyal fans out there from any sports franchise. I remember we had that one poster on the ESPN boards back in the day that was a Warriors fan and would hope on the Wolves board and we would have some good conversations. They were definitely not someone that jumped on the Warriors bandwagon just when they got good! I don't really care much who wins. I could be happy about either team. Wemby is really good and the guy does everything possible to be good. I know there are annoying things about Brunson but having a former 2nd round pick who was too small too slow etc end up being the best player on a title team would be fun too. This is all part of what makes sports fun.
Re: Around the NBA:2025-6
I went into this series rooting for the Knicks, primarily because I feel like SAS has MANY years to get at least 1 chip.
I agree that all fans are annoying to other fans. But I spent last week at a national conference full of Knicks fans and Spurs fans, and I kind of agree that Knicks fans are more delusional than most (or all) NBA fan bases. Am I wrong to think that Jalen Brunson is neither the GOAT nor the greatest clutch player in NBA history? The Knicks are deep. Really deep. But are they the deepest most versatile team in NBA history? I actually love Josh Hart, but is he more of a connector then Scottie? Iggy? Bobby Jones?
I get it, I will probably be this annoying when we get there, but I'm hoping I have the wherewithal to tone it down in public

I feel so bad this morning for all the billionaires and celebrities in "look at me" row at MSG...they all have so little going for them in their lives, so I wish they could have gotten a win last nightLeado01 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2026 10:02 am I went into this series rooting for the Knicks, primarily because I feel like SAS has MANY years to get at least 1 chip.

I don't begrudge anyone being a Knicks fan...I was one myself back in the 70s. But anybody listening to NBA Radio this morning has to conclude they are the biggest crybabies of all fan bases. So many callers blaming the referees for last night's loss. But they are excusing Brunson for ignoring in the second half the beautiful ball movement offense that has gotten them this far, and instead deciding to dribble, dribble, dribble. It was almost like he talked with Ant before the game and heard him say "Coach don't know what he be talking about. Ignore the game plan, Jalen...it's much more fun to control the ball for 20 seconds looking for your shot". Seriously, I see a lot of similarities between Ant and Brunson...two ultra-talented offensive players adept at creating their own shots but for whom defense is optional. Two exciting players who the fans adore but who need to add a little more to their all-around games to crack the Top 10.
Still a pretty entertaining game, but did the 4th quarter seem like it took 2 hours? Dreadful, after a really good first half. It's nice to know we might have a series now though, so I'm glad the Spurs won.

I don't particularly care who wins it. Seeing Kat win it would be cool. Seeing Wemby get one and start what might be the start of him passing Jordan for the best player all time winning a title 6 years younger than Jordan would be cool. The Knicks are the experienced perfect age to win a championship with a title window of about 2-3 more years, Spurs are the young up and coming team that is going to be a problem for a decade plus as long as egos don't get in the way. I'm just glad all of the games have been good close games so far.

I think the big difference between Ant and Brunson, Ant when locked in on defense is great, near ALL NBA level at times. Brunson simply cannot defend. He's a bit to short, too slow. Defense is about length, quickness strength and desire. He's got the last two at times. He's not going to grow 3 inches or have his arm span extend either. So he's limited a bit too much.FNG wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2026 10:33 amI feel so bad this morning for all the billionaires and celebrities in "look at me" row at MSG...they all have so little going for them in their lives, so I wish they could have gotten a win last nightLeado01 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2026 10:02 am I went into this series rooting for the Knicks, primarily because I feel like SAS has MANY years to get at least 1 chip.

So no matter how much Brunson wants to be a great defender he'll never be one. Ant on the other hand could which is maybe more frustrating for us.

Karl-Anthony Towns has not yet scored at all in the fourth quarters of this Finals series. 1Q-3Q: 50 points in 4Q: 0 points
Kat needs to get more shots up in the 4th quarter.

His teammates seem to largely ignore him most of the time. They could have used his offense last night.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2026 12:19 pm Karl-Anthony Towns has not yet scored at all in the fourth quarters of this Finals series. 1Q-3Q: 50 points in 4Q: 0 points
