Different Champ 8 straight years….so wolves will win by 2054 at the latest? If the trend holds…
Glad to add Kat to the list of second chance former Mn guys to get a title. He’s always been a stand up guy and caught strays for his troubles. I personally didn’t think he could be a top guy on a title team, technically he still isn’t but he silenced a lot of haters by evolving his game to suit the team. He did that in MN as well and earned his contract because of it. Maybe TC should have seen the future better to avoid the cap and apron ramifications. Maybe he shouldn’t have made the Rudy trade and just kept riding the organic growth…but the take away here is that you have to play the season out. No one can predict it. It’s all a gamble. It’s best laid plans. It’s fun to watch. Sure it’s their lives but the league is a sieve that has filtered every kid whoever picked up a ball down into like 50 we can remember as being among the greats. No one thought Brunson was in that convo even 2 years ago. Excited to see what the roster looks like in October and to have the hope renewed again. It’s what sport is all about. Next years our year!

Re: Around the NBA:2025-6
The parade here will be on Thursday.
I'll be there for 3 reasons:
1. for all my Knick friends who didn't get to make it to see this day. I'm doing it for them
2. This will be the biggest party ever.
3. I'll never see a parade for the Wolves. I got to see KG win it for Boston. I'll get to see KAT at the parade on Thursday. To be a Wolves fan is signing up for this day never happening to us. I can sit and hope, but I can only rely on three pro teams to maybe get one for me (other than Los Lynx)
Yankees
Rangers
NYCFC (and thankfully I got to see that in 2021).
The Wolves and Jets are similar for me (although truthfully I don't think the Jets or their fans deserve one. I really hope the Wolves do it for the fans one day, but I doubt it).

Took the Knicks 53 years, took Denver 47 years, have patience this is the best core we've ever had. If the Twins can win 2, the Wolves can win in this parity era of basketball.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2026 11:32 pm The parade here will be on Thursday.

Really happy for KAT and his Father. Brunson is to be lauded and given everything he has coming to him. It was a tremendous playofs for him.
Re: Around the NBA:2025-6
KAT just shouted out Rosas. Did anyone do more for the Wolves than that guy?

I still maintain that this core isn't good enough. We just want it to be.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2026 11:38 pmTook the Knicks 53 years, took Denver 47 years, have patience this is the best core we've ever had. and I just have this sinking feeling that Connelly is just another Daryl Morey, and I don't mean that in a good way. Being linked to every top 20 player just because you want them is something any of us can do. He just hasn't done the things necessary to actually build this thing.

I wouldn't fire a coach because coaching changes don't work. That blew up in your face real quick.BeenLurkin wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2026 11:00 pm Different Champ 8 straight years….so wolves will win by 2054 at the latest? If the trend holds…

Maybe time will tell. We also didn't think KAT could win a title, didn't think Wiggins could win a title, didn't think knuckles push ups could win a tittle. Brunson begged for Dallas to extend him, they let him walk for nothing. Guys win championship you don't expect all the time.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2026 1:01 amI still maintain that this core isn't good enough.
