Ha! I hadn't thought of that one! Hmmm....
Also, the Randle's must be loving the trade, heading back to New York. Kendra Randle's tweet:

I don’t think Ayo is worth 20. Did he really show that? Maybe he did, but I think he’s more a 12-14 guy. IdkWildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2026 9:42 pmit's not cap space. We're still well over the cap. We're just miles away from apron hell even if we brought Ayo back at $20 mil a year.Mnwild1128 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2026 9:40 pm All this cap space we could theoretically take on a teams bad contract for a draft asset to gain more ammo for a bigger move. Or just a way to draft a guy we want further up in the draft.
Guess they didn't like the suburban life here after all. Lol60WinTim wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2026 10:00 pmHa! I hadn't thought of that one! Hmmm....

I think he might end up being worth 20 but I'd be much happier with a deal starting at like 17. I think he showed he was worth what NAW got last off-season.D-Loser25 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2026 10:02 pmI don’t think Ayo is worth 20. Did he really show that? Agreed! It’s a good move to get off of a player we had to send out. Sometimes casual fans just hear a big name and assume it should bring something more, but this is a good move for sure.
I'm still hoping he signs the extension BEFORE July 1st. The max for that contract is something like 3 years at 54 mil, which would start at about 16.3 mil. I would be happy with that, even if it had a player option on the 3rd year.Monster wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2026 10:03 pmI think he might end up being worth 20 but I'd be much happier with a deal starting at like 17. A player option after year 2 might make him more money than if he signs for a little more for 4 years with a player option on the 4th year. I don't know if there are gonna be teams that can offer him more that that extension.60WinTim wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2026 10:07 pmI'm still hoping he signs the extension BEFORE July 1st. This is where we need Lip and Monster to tie that 15th man role together for us.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2026 10:13 pm Also, Mo Gueye is coming from Chicago to Minnesota in this trade to make it official.
He has a nonguaranteed salary, so his status and Julian Phillips' statuses are up in the air.
EDIT: just got waived lol
