Ok, my bad. You’re a rich, casual fan.Monster wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2026 1:13 amCasual fan? You didn't even know what his stats were this year!?! Two way player. Geez, TC is lucky that he likes to hide in the small markets, mortgaging all of our future picks on his big swings, because if he was making these misses (Dilly trade, Kat trade, letting Naw walk, resigning Randle) in a place with higher expectations, he would’ve been out by now.D-Loser25 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2026 12:48 am
lol wow. Everything is measured in points per game for you, isn’t it? For being a casual fan who only sees PPG, you sure spend a lot of time on here lol. Can’t believe I’m sitting here typing about this…
Yeah, I thought NAW could be a successful two way starter on a decent team. I guess I dropped the ball on my PPg projection for NAW. In all seriousness, 20 is probably a bit higher than I would have guessed… maybe 16 or 17, but assuming his volume and opportunities just increased for whatever reason. I did not see 20, so you’re right, he exceeded my greatest expectations and dreams

I don't know about the rich part. Tickets were like $23 bucks a piece on a black Friday special. The Hawks were playing the Nets. Lol
Also fwiw as I think we all know is that NAW's value on the court is more than what he scores but him putting the ball in the net at that volume makes him more valuable. Having a legit playmaker on the floor Jalen Johnson with him likely helps. I didn't watch that many of their games but my guess is they helped each other's games. If you haven't checked out Jalen Johnson's regular season's stat line from last year you should. It's not too shabby. Lol From what I saw NAW did a lot of what he did here just higher volume of shots which of course isn't a small thing. NAW is an example of guys that continue to improve and how guys aren't always what they are at 26 or 27 etc.

Wolves are cooked. Trading KAT for an injured DDV and cap space, whoopee you can sign a role player. You bid against yourself to resign Ayo. So dumb.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2026 11:36 pm They had to get him back, but that's a big number. I'm just sad they chose Randle over NAW and we're still dealing with that choice
TC is a fucking joke to be honest. I gave him a C minus and now he's down to an F. Any chance to win a championship in the next 5 years is out the window. At one point I thought he was doing a good job. Now I know why a few people were saying he's a clown.

If Wolvesfan21 is upset then I think we are on the right track. Let’s see how mad they get the rest of the day, I’ve got high hopes and I bet TC is far from done.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2026 7:13 amWolves are cooked. That's three playoff years in a row (37 games total) where his playoff numbers are markedly worse than his regular season numbers. FG% over the last three playoffs: 37%, 39%, and 38%. Rarely gets to the line in the playoffs. 3-pt shooting comes and goes. Etc.
He was rendered useless against the Knicks, with CJ McCollum having to do a bunch of the heavy lifting because no one else could on Atlanta, including the NBA's "Most Improved Player".
I really like NAW and he helped us win a lot of regular season games, but he's been a non-factor in the playoffs. I don't know why either.

His defense is elite though, so sure offensively he's not been great, but he's still a nice player on a reasonable deal. And if his offense continues to evolve, then it's a homerun for ATL.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2026 8:10 amThat's three playoff years in a row (37 games total) where his playoff numbers are markedly worse than his regular season numbers. I'm the biggest homer here. I just don't see the path to title contention. Might be a fun team to watch, but a losing team.BeenLurkin wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2026 7:34 amIf Wolvesfan21 is upset then I think we are on the right track. Re: Ayo is back!
Lots of guys have elite defensive skills and stick around rosters. It’s disingenuous to allude to the potential offensive jump of a 28 year old guy on his third team who has been given the keys for a full season. It’s also worth mentioning the Wolves tried to give him the keys in summer league and preseason before getting moving in from that experiment when he failed miserably as a true Pg.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2026 8:34 amHis defense is elite though, so sure offensively he's not been great, but he's still a nice player on a reasonable deal. I’m fine with the criticism of choices made my TC. It’s easy to point out why each of the big moves he’s made has created or added to the roster imbalance. But the guy has been able to maneuver within the constructs of the apron system and maintain flexibility approaching the AnT Prime timeline while experimenting with numerous types of players to put around him. Final grades on TC really have to be put off till we see if Ants Prime is totally fumbled but the growth phase has been more successful than not.
Re: Ayo is back!
His defense wasn't elite last season. That's what happens when you take on more minutes and more usage. He was still good, but not the same as when he was coming off the bench with the Wolves.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2026 8:34 amHis defense is elite though, so sure offensively he's not been great, but he's still a nice player on a reasonable deal. I agree he's a nice player on a reasonable deal.....in the regular season that is.
