Spurs on the clock. They’re certainly not going to draft a PG. Memphis is next at 21. Will they take Philon as the successor to Ja who they’re likely to move before next season? If they do, the Wolves should go after the Memphis PG they like the most not named Ja.

The Spurs, Grizzlies, Sixers and Hawks are likely to pass on Philon based on who those teams already have at the PG position. I’m afraid the Knicks will take him at #24. If not, I expect the Lakers to take him at 25.

If not for the Mike Conley salary-shed deal, the Wolves could have been positioned at 21 to take Philon, although that pick probably would have been part of the Randle deal so never mind.

I’d give up our 2033 1st or Donte for him. Otherwise, I’d explore a Rudy package where we get back Philon and other valuable assets. But I can’t think of anyone on the Knicks or Lakers I’d want who either team would be willing to include along with Philon in a Rudy deal.
