I agree. This deal could work out, but I think it’s a mistake. I would not have done this deal. I would have rather traded Rudy for Suggs or White. I have to believe either of those options were possible without giving up all the additional assets we just gave up for Ball. I liked the financial flexibility we had and the chance to put several piece parts together. Once again, TC took the easy right - throwing a bunch of assets at a team to get a big name at a big price. We’ll see how this works out. I might be praising TC next June. But right now I’m ever more troubled by TC’s tenure here. He’s constantly trying to take short cuts while the elite front offices take the strategic, thoughtful path that leads to sustainable success.

I don’t see it quite the same way, Lurkin. I don’t love the trade but I don’t see it Ball as the backcourt equivalent of Randle. LaMello’s passing and ball-handling prowess will blend much better with Edwards. However, I do see a parallel from an attitude/effort standpoint. So yes, I’m not thrilled. But I unlike the Randle acquisition which I was certain would fail, i think this move could work.

How can the owners think they can build a new stadium when the team has no further assets to change the roster. This is the all or nothing scenario and there’s no way we can afford the extensions of Ant Lamelo and Jaden simultaneously

yeah, I'm just really disappointed. I honestly don't care about the rest of the assets given up if they kept Naz.
Naz, Jaden, Ant, Ball would be an interesting 4some

This move relegates Ayo to the bench in a 6th man role. I don’t like that because I think Ayo would flourish in a starting PG role. Again, the more I think about this the more I don’t like it. I’d feel better if it had been Rudy rather than Naz but even then I’m not sure.
