No idea but looks like he is coming up on the last year of a 3 year deal at 14m this season. Not sure all the hurdles of trading a guy you just got but he should be available to be an asset at trade deadline?
Shams just reported the Hornets are discussing a Lamelo trade with multiple teams

Jaden is your PF.
Hopefully you can bring back Anderson on a minimum. Ayo, Ant and TJ can all slot in at SF.
I'm hyped honestly. The pick swaps aren't likely to happen, so it should be good there but i wouldn't mind a level head explanation of the long term draft and cap consequences cause I'm an idiot on that

I spent some time reading about him when I was looking for Randle trades. He is a classic 3 and D guy fans said he was smart and solid seemed to think he was a guy that helps the team. He is currently overpaid but he seems like a pretty useful player.BeenLurkin wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2026 10:51 amNo idea but looks like he is coming up on the last year of a 3 year deal at 14m this season. I think last year's advanced stats for Ball offer some optimism...
- Charlotte had a 125 ORTG with him on the court. Best in league.
- It dropped to 112 without him.
And then there's this stuff: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/1 ... _knueppel/

With LaMelo on board as a true passer ball handler idk if Anderson fits as well but they also just need someone that can play PF. Anderson also is just a smart basketball player and having a guy like that with Ball who is a good shooter doesn't hurt. Anderson on the 2nd unit might be pretty useful especially for the vet min.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2026 10:55 am Jaden is your PF.

Im pretty much in shock. I have reservations about Lamelo for sure but what splash. Lamelo, Ant and Jaden sounds pretty fun for a while. TC is a dealmaker. Crazy.

He would be strictly a 2nd unit guys who keeps the defense useful. Jaden is the PF unless additional moves are madeMonster wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2026 11:04 amWith LaMelo on board as a true passer ball handler idk if Anderson fits as well but they also just need someone that can play PF. Could we reroute Josh Green with TJ for Jalen Smith? Bulls might like having TJ.
Would Memphis be interested in reflipping Beef Stew? Probably not.
Obi Toppin?
Rope the Giannis trade in and get Bobby Portis?
Gafford or Washington?
Santi Aldama?

Yep, I was just thinking about what Ball did for Knueppel last season, and my sources tell me that Ant is almost as good as KonAbeVigodaLive wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2026 11:02 am I think last year's advanced stats for Ball offer some optimism...

Yes, our backcourt might struggle defensively. We will start two guys who are mirror images of each other, both possessing the physical gifts to be plus defenders but not always the drive. But Ball is truly elite offensively. Each of the last two seasons the Hornets have scored more than 11 more points per 100 when he has been on the court. I'm a little surprised Charlotte did this after finishing the season 27-10 last year! But they did, and our team has immediately become more entertaining...and probably much better depending on what TC does at the 4 (I don't see Jaden as the answer).

if Ayo starts at SF, doesn't that make us overly reliant on Conley as a backup PG AGAIN?
