Kuminga also hits the market. The more forwards that hit the market, the better.

The Los Angeles Clippers will exercise the $9.19 million team option for the 2026-27 season on Brook Lopez and will decline team options on Bogdan Bogdanovic ($16 million) and Nicolas Batum ($5.88 million), making Bogdanovic and Batum unrestricted free agents, sources confirm.

-Batum is interesting to me.

Batum was interesting when we had Kevin Love and Al Jefferson.

Now, not so much.

What makes you think Portland is done making deals? Either Scoot or Dame will be shipped somewhere. Or maybe Morant is headed somewhere else. Are they pursuing Anthony Davis? Jaylen Brown?

Just in case anyone is wondering about these last two posts, the following story just broke:

BREAKING: The Memphis Grizzlies are trading two-time NBA All-Star Ja Morant to the Portland Trail Blazers for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray, sources tell ESPN.
What makes you think they are GUARANTEED to successfully complete another trade?
Because they have a bunch of great draft picks?

Jaylen Brown to Portland would not surprise me...

[Edit: I see others have already responded. That's what I get for going away for a few hours... ]

Free agent forward Harrison Barnes intends to sign a one-year, $8 million deal to stay with the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell ESPN. The Spurs valued Barnes' leadership and production as he enters a third season in San Antonio, finalizing a new deal with agent Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management on Monday night.

I never said I thought they’d successfully complete a trade. I just thought it was premature to judge the Ja Morant deal before seeing what other complementary moves Portland makes. Now if they don’t make one or two more moves that make sense in relation to the Morant deal, then I’ll join you in panning the acquisition of Ja. And let’s be clear that giving up Kris Murray and Jerami Grant for a former all-star who is still only 27 years isn’t terrible on its face. Jerami Grant has value but not that much. He’s a scorer who averaged 18 points last season, but he’s not a great defender and he’s a terrible rebounder at the PF position, averaging only 3.5 boards per game last season. As for Kris Murray - he’s a throw in.

If they could get Jaylen Brown without trading Avdija or Clingan, they're cooking with gas.

Holiday/Camara/Sharpe and a couple of firsts might get it done.

Scoot becomes Ja insurance.
That would indeed be a great deal for Portland. But I don’t think Boston does the deal without getting Avdija or Clingan.
Why not?

They can build an offer around Holiday, Camara and a bunch of picks and works financially.
You could be right, Wild. Portland has lots of valuable draft picks and that might be enough along with Holiday, and Camaraderie. It will be interesting to see what happens. And of course, a lot depends on how hot the market is right now for Brown. But my gut tells me Boston won’t deal Brown to Portland without getting Deni in return.
