I actually hate the lakers offseason.
Reeves max (overpay)
Kessler (overpay) not even including the picks
Grimes/Sandro/Sexton I like them all in a vacuum but they gave them long term money for mostly one spike year of production (besides Sexton)
I don’t think they are a top 5 team in the west with 0 tradable assets
2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
Re: 2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
Fair points. Teams may look good on paper, but they have to figure out the fits and how to play together. Hopefully they really struggle on that front.kekgeek wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 11:26 am I actually hate the lakers offseason.

Also:
Bobby Marks
FYI
The signings do not fit within cap space
The Lakers will need to make a corresponding move (Ayton waive-and-stretch for example) to fit the players with room

Maybe Vando waive and stretch?TheGrey08 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 11:28 amFair points. Teams may look good on paper, but they have to figure out the fits and how to play together. Re: 2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
Lakers were carried by Lebron, Smart and Rui over Houston, I think they got worse if Lebron is still going to leave.
Re: 2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
I think if Vando gets waived and stretched, he will be back. Ant has mentioned before he would like Vando back. He could at least help keep Jaden off of POA.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 11:30 amMaybe Vando waive and stretch?TheGrey08 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 11:28 amFair points. Idk Gobert is simply a superior player to Kessler right now and he is only gonna make about 2.5 million more in salary.TheGrey08 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 11:06 amYep lol. Thinking about what the Wolves could be doing or could have done if they had 2 more 1sts to dangle. Could they have snagged Ball for 2 picks + swaps instead of throwing in Naz? IDK since CHA badly wanted Naz, but sucks they didn't have that option.
Re: 2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
That’s true, Monster. But Kessler is much younger and can actually shoot. So looking at it more broadly it’s pretty close. Moreover, it doesn’t look good in retrospect. Kessler plus Beasley, Vanderbilt, and one of the five future firsts we gave up for Gobert seems like fair value.Monster wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 1:41 pmIdk Gobert is simply a superior player to Kessler right now and he is only gonna make about 2.5 million more in salary.TheGrey08 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 11:06 amYep lol. Jazz record last 3 years
68-178
Timberwolves record last 3 years
154-92
2 conference finals
Glad Jazz got 3 years of losing basketball and a future 11 and 13 year old.
God I hate draft pick culture
Re: 2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
Nobody better give the Lakers props for getting Kessler if they dump on the Wolves for getting Melo.

Tobias Harris to the Spurs
