There has been $200million bet to date on Kalshi and Polymarket on Decision 3. Hmm...wonder if LeBron has leaked or is going to leak to close friends so they can cash in.
The worst part for Wolves fans? Only the Warriors, Heat, Sixers and Cavs are listed as betting options.
LeBron Sweepstakes
Re: LeBron Sweepstakes
It seems based on Lebron's track record him doing something like this is VERY unlikely. Someone else like Rich Paul? That seems more plausible but anyone finds out it's not gonna be good for that person and Lebron would likely cut them off.FNG wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2026 9:02 am There has been $200million bet to date on Kalshi and Polymarket on Decision 3. Yeah, I wasn't tying the $200 million to anything LeBron has done...I was more marveling that 1/5 of a billion dollars has been wagered on where a professional athlete chooses to go! And with so much money at stake and so many people in LeBron's inner circle, I have to believe that some people are going to cash out on some insider information.Monster wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2026 1:07 pmIt seems based on Lebron's track record him doing something like this is VERY unlikely. Monster, you asked me yesterday if I thought it was easy for LeBron to make this decision, and the answer is I don't know...I can't get inside James's head. As the days pass though I find myself getting more and more irritated at him. It seems like an enormously selfish act by him to hold fans and the league hostage while he withholds a decision I suspect he has already made. Maybe he enjoys the attention. Maybe he likes the power of making 5 teams freeze their offseason activity waiting for him. Maybe he dislikes Adam Silver and knows this is getting under his skin. I don't know why he is taking so much longer than most of the other free agent in the league, I just know it's selfish. Nobody knows what is in his head, so we can only guess. But my guess is that he chose Miami weeks ago, and is enjoying the attention he is getting as 5 franchises hold their breath...it's good for the documentary. Miami checks the most boxes for him: It's the only location other than Golden State where he can work on his golf game all winter. I don't think he wants to play with a bunch of guys in their early 20s, and much of the Heat roster is over 30 but not over the hill like the Warriors. And I think he believes they can win...I'm not so sure. And who wouldn't want to play a season with Giannis?
I'd like to see TC forget about the James dream and make his final move(s) this week to fill out the roster. And I'll be cheering against whatever team LeBron eventually chooses.

He loves the attention, no doubt. The league is going to set up this huge national television schedule with Miami at the center, and most games at least one of Lebron or Giannis is going to be out.
Re: LeBron Sweepstakes
Idk man it seems like you have had no problem getting inside his head and making up your mind in what you think he has done or will do. You are mad because you think he has already made a decision even though we don't know that. You've even come up with various conspiracies to explain why he is taking so long based on your timeline for him.FNG wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2026 2:01 pmYeah, I wasn't tying the $200 million to anything LeBron has done...I was more marveling that 1/5 of a billion dollars has been wagered on where a professional athlete chooses to go! I'd guess teams are relatively happy waiting for the opportunity to get one of the best players of all time even at this point of his career for a vet min contract. There isn't anyone close to his ability available at that price. It's basically a cheat code to get a very good player for nothing. It's one roster spot it's not like he is demanding teams sell off players to give him 15 million or more money. What moves do you think LeBron is holding up for these teams including the Wolves? I'd guess most are far from exciting. Who else could have theoretically opted out this summer and signed for a vet min? Is it selfish to opt out of making like 20-60 million to sign with a team for the vet min but the cost for teams is waiting till he decides where he is going? He really isn't asking teams to do anything crazy.
Meanwhile the league does want to do their schedule but Lebron not making a decision yet is also driving plenty of engagement about where is Lebron gonna go etc. The league will be ok. Lol

Re: LeBron Sweepstakes
I'm not hearing Minnesota mentioned as a possibility anymore.
Re: LeBron Sweepstakes
The idea that Lebron would sign at a discount was always a stretch to me. That coupled with him choosing Minnesota on that discount made it a fantasy. It was a fun dream.
Re: LeBron Sweepstakes
The Miami Heat video welcoming LeBron wasn’t just a template. It has a specific date - July 27. He’s going to Miami and the Heat know it. Classic LeBron. He refers to himself as “a born leader” but chooses a destination where they don’t need leadership. Rooting against the Heat has always been easy but this will make it even easier.

My understanding of Lebrons 2ND "The Decision", is he came to a conclusion and is now second guessing that conclusion. Could it be due to the Heat leak? Maybe. Maybe not.

Re: LeBron Sweepstakes
I just want to say I hate LeBron. I will even hate him still if we sign him. His flopping his whining. His bringing his politics into basketball. The decision. The decision 2. The attention seeking. The trying to develop superteams. Dude is an all time d bag.
Would I take him on our team for the minimum. Of course. But I will always despise this guy. He wants to suck every bit of attention he can out of this as the end is near. Don't worry LeBron. You can go back to living like the God you think you are while us meager pedestrians can go back to living our same ordinary lives. Will be happy when he retires.
