This tells me he wants to pick teams like Cleveland, Golden State and Miami because they are the "obvious" fits but can't shake the fact that Minnesota and maybe Philly are the only ones that make sense. Once he accepts the fact that Minnesota is the best choice it will be over.
Could be, phenom. Another thought came to me today. It shouldn’t take this long to make his decision, and we know lebron is competitive and wants to win. I suspect he made his decision within days of informing the Lakers he wasn’t returning, and he has told the team he’s going there. But he and the team know the other 4 teams…all pretty good teams he would consider competitors…are hamstrung until he makes his move and cant go to plan B. I think LeBron and the winning team will announce his decision just a few days before training camps start, hoping the plan B options are mostly gone by then,

And this is coming from an avowed non-conspiracy guy!
I have seen nothing in the career of Lebron that suggests he would do anything like this. Lebron has a PG mentality as a person he isn't gonna delay everything for months just to gain some sort of competitive advantage while screwing over multiple franchises some (if not all) of whom has people he has pretty strong relationships with. Plus I don't think he wants to screw the league over since they are waiting for his decision to do their scheduling. It's a dastardly plan though and fun that you came up with it!

I think it's much more likely that what Rich Paul said is right. Lebron has several excellent options and picking one is difficult. I'd take more than a couple days to decide if I was him. If it was an easy decision he would have made it already and the team he picked would be able to make whatever moves they wanted to to build and tweak the roster.
I really don't see what Rich Paul or Lebron would get out of Paul lying and misleading teams, fans & the media especially when he's been pretty open about a lot of the process.

To me, as others have pointed out, the longer this plays out the more likely he's REALLY considering a team like the Wolves (outside immediate comfort zone of CLE/MIA/Cali) and I think he's very much been torn based on Rich Paul saying he's been changing his mind. I think this would be a hard decision for any of us if we were in his exact shoes.

If I'm Lebron, I LOVE the idea of ending my career back at home in CLE. But then I see playing with Steph in GS, playing with a young talented team with Ant/LaMelo and their youth ties & biggest legacy raiser, MIA if the relationships there are really strong, PHI if he loves the idea of playing with Maxey, etc.

It's possible CLE is his default and he's just giving himself time to see if the pull of another team is greater than the idea of playing at home or he's making a decision and letting himself sit in that for a few days to see how it feels. Like really letting a decision sink in until he's ready to commit.

PS: we also now know LaMelo has also talked to him recently.

The NBA and LeBron James are global brands.

As such, they're both interested in staying relevant beyond just the basketball season.

LeBron James milking this "decision" was always the plan.

mission accomplished, this topic has 19 pages rewarding the behavior. Worst part to me is that everything is a business until it isn't. A player that could easily demand 20 mil or more circumventing the salary cap by taking the minimum.

I keep coming back to, if he felt confident about playing in Miami, Golden State or Cleveland, he would probably have done it by now.

Exactly and Rich Paul literally said the dude has been changing his mind. The decision to go back home to CLE is the easiest/safest decision. The decision to NOT go back home is a tougher decision. I'd put GS as the 2nd easiest since it would clearly be a go have fun playing with Steph & staying within a 45 min flight to his fam. The longer this goes the more he's entertaining MN/PHI (I still think MIA is the lame spot).

People need to stop buying into all the speculation and chatter about which the top 3 teams are and all that nonsense. Rich Paul, Windy and others have straight up said, if ANYONE is telling you they know, they DO NOT and that NOBODY knows anything outside of Lebron. Windy specifically was emphatic about this lol.

The decision. The decision 2. The attention seeking. The trying to develop superteams. Dude is an all time d bag.

Would I take him on our team for the minimum. Of course. But I will always despise this guy. He wants to suck every bit of attention he can out of this as the end is near. Don't worry LeBron. You can go back to living like the God you think you are while us meager pedestrians can go back to living our same ordinary lives. Will be happy when he retires.
What politics did he bring into the nba?

Everyone should use their gravity to be political. That’s the point of politics. People saying keep politics out of (insert public sphere) is an obvious piece of shit. IMO. Sports figures saying Black Lives Matter shouldn’t offend you. Unless you disagree. Which makes you an obvious piece of shit. Imagine watching NBA and not being pro diversity and inclusion.

Not saying it’s anything but the Kalshi odds for the wolves have been at 1% for 2 weeks. Today it has moved for the first time and is at 4%

Many people predicted LeBron James would drag this out for as long as he could... many weeks or even months ago.

As noted, I think it's been blatantly obvious that the primary plan is to keep James at the top of the news cycles. I mean we have 20+ years with LeBron James on + off the court as evidence.

In fact, I'd be shocked if his next team doesn't know already.

It's summer time. If the idea is to maintain engagement, it should fail until he makes a decision and once he does, take a day, assess the situation and go back to enjoying your summer.

This isn't gonna be like the last decision. I don't think wherever he lands will change the outlook of their title hopes and it'll show in his documentary.
