Yeah Dane pointed out a few days ago this was the same matchup were Beringer had a block party last year.

Maybe someday I will be memorialized in a summery of a Summer league thread by Q!
Your memorial would simply read Monster - One Ignorant Fuck

Well the Pelicans losing streak is over! We stormed the court!!!! Lol jk I watched them in a come from behind win against the Hornets who should have a massively more talented roster with multiple first round picks and guys that played real minutes for them last season. Anderson did some good things at PG but has not been particularly impressive in the 2 games I have seen.

I'll also add that Hunter likely was a pretty good matchup to measure both Rocco and Joan against in some ways. He is a pretty huge human being himself 7' in socks with a plenty lengthy wingspan and around 260lbs. He hit 3 threes in this game. He also put up 18 and 10 in the G-league last year. I'm not suggesting he is really good but I think a guy with his size and some solid skill going up against for sure an underdeveloped (physically) Rocco might be worth considering.

The Pels looked scrappy and some guys played especially on the perimeter well enough. Bufkin was one of the best players in the G-league last year and put up some good stats maybe too good for that level like Pullin. When reading about the Hornets last year some fans couldn't figure out why Sion James got minutes over Josh Green. Seeing him in Summer league he is fine I guess but I can't imagine him getting minute over an NBA rotation player. Maybe I'm missing something other than he is built like a tank.

Just finished watching this game back and I have a few thoughts.

I get why Lip was gushing about Beringer. He really was pretty fantastic. The ability to move on defense the ability to play hard and actually do something while doing it is really great. Other than his lack of a jumper and SVG mentioned shooting with his left hand I think he needs to work on his timing on rebounds. Sometimes he just pogo sticks up there and then he isn't able to gather the ball right and it's a bit of an issue. Yeah he is too athletic...I'd guess he will figure it out. He also had more drives han I remember and he looked pretty good on them even if he didn't score on all of them.

I actually thought Rocco looked better in this game than I remembered. Yes he had some struggles be he did do some good things. is he ready to play in the NBA if called on? Yeah probably not but there is something to work with there and it's pretty clear he is a guy his teammates really gravitate to.

TKR I'm still a little confused why he didn't play more but I thought there were times he really moved well and he makes quick decisions with the ball. I don't know if he will be good enough but he plays with strength and energy and some edge that would be nice to have.

Jaylin Williams had a nice game doing all the stuff you kinda want to see from Freeman. He was playing a different role than Freeman but there was a couple plays in this game he made very good quick rotations to help etc. I looked at his summer league stats for the Wolves. He was kinda efficient. Only a 81.5 true shooting percentage! Lol he is a guy I hope ends up in Iowa.

Gorgui was sitting at one of the baseline tables. If he was a few years younger he wouldn't be a bad guy to have on a vet min for depth in the front court.
