It also makes it difficult for other schools to steal him with the large buyout deal. He's likely staying, not 100% but closer too.

I think his buyout is 10 million until 2021 Ant-Man 4 million until 2022. I am not a buyout expert but it looks like we at least get them all next year and then might need to go back to the table. It sounds like his base pay is about middle of the road for Big ten.

I hadn't heard the exact terms and certainly am no expert either. It's nice they stepped up and realized his value. That would suck if we lost him.

It would suck if we lost him. If he finishes strong and we are in the same position next year we need to start looking to give him a raise again next year. It sounds like they started working on this in July at Big Ten day. His buy out would be 4M on 1/1/2021. I could see a team waiting for him at a big program.

FWIW One of my co-worked told me Thursday that he put money on MN over Penn state and LSU over Bama. Not sure what his record is on betting but he felt good about those teams winning and they are both 6 point underdogs. Should be a very interesting week in college football. It might be something to help Nebraska fans take their minds off their teams. Lol
