It wasn't my favorite choice, but I trust Spielman and Zimmer more than myself in regards to pro football talent. Hard to believe, right?

I can get behind Gordon. He's good, and easy to like based on his personality/interviews. The trade up to get him was beyond stupid. Moving up two spots and the price was a 4th and 5th round pick. That means we only jumped the Texans, who I doubt were going to take Gordon. Just an impatient, overaggressive move by my Chargers GM Telesco. In fact, he's been our GM for three drafts now, and while he finds good talent, he has yet to draft in the 4th round! He keeps trading those picks away. Very frustrating.

Oh well. Hope Gordon pans out. Pre-draft he said he wanted to be a Charger. It's also fitting that he broke LT's 400+ rushing yard in a single game record in college. And there's the possibility of "Flash Gordon" as his nickname due to the lightning bolt reference in the team name. I'm good with it.

I would rather trade a 4th rounder to secure the first rounder I really want. The bust rate for 4th round picks are very high. Gordon is a great talent. Great pick.

The more I thought about the Rams picking Gurely the more it seemed like a killer pick. They have been making random dudes looks sort of good (especially on that fantasy team waiver wire lol) for a couple years. Now they get a guy that's supposed to be the best RB prospect for over 5 years. Rams are poised to be a nasty defensive team and run the ball down your throat team for years. It might not matter if they have a QB or not if Gurely become really good...almost with the QB thing. Lol

Another CB sounds good we needed one at some point even if we weren't in the division we were in. Waynes seems like a nice player I hope he is better than the other MSU rookie that ended up a a Minnesota roster that rhymes... Sorry couldn't help it. Lol

I was convinced the Vikings had their sites on 3 guys at 11 and it's nice they were able to get one of them. Scherff & Parker being the others. I was very intrigued at the idea of pairing Teddy & Parker, but honestly WR doesn't rank high enough on our need list IMO. LG, CB, ILB, & S are/were bigger needs IMO.

Patterson definitely had a disappointing 2nd season, but from what we've heard so far this off season I'm hoping/expecting a bounce back season. Route running might be his biggest weakness and he's supposedly been working with someone out in SF on that very thing (one rumor is Troy Brown). Zimmer said he's been working very very hard, he's seen tape of what he's been working on and is proud of him. So I'm plenty happy to go into next season with Wallace, Johnson & Patterson as the top 3. Wright is a decent #4, but I wouldn't mind seeing them draft a WR later in the draft to compete with Wright & Thielen for the 4th/5th spots.

I felt coming out of college that Patterson would make a better RB than WR. Many of his best plays came as a RB. The kid is special when the ball is in his hands. As a Rams fan he killed us week one.

It has sucked being a Rams fan. The only game AP plays just has to be against us. How sucky is that?

I thought Rams should have gone OL or trade down to pick OL. Picking RB tip-toes around the issue, especially when Mason and Stacy are already in the backfield. Just my opinion, though.

I think the Vikings messed up not taking Parker. They had a chance to get a No. 1 type WR and instead added another corner to the bunch. I love Zimmer, but at some point you should help your QB by getting him some more weapons.

The Vikings have plenty of weapons on offense already. The talent is diverse and relatively deep at every skilled position. WR is the biggest question mark, and a team like the Vikings needs talent wherever it can add it, but defense was the Vikings biggest need and it matched up with whom they viewed as BPA.

Parker, no doubt, would have been a good get, but it doesn't move the needle as much as upgrades at CB/ILB/S do. If the Vikings were to go offense, I'd rather they spend it in later rounds to shore up that gaping hole at LG and provide depth on the OL. That's how you keep your QB upright so he can find all those weapons.

I just don't see the promise at CB on the roster without Waynes compared to some interesting talent at WR. Johnson had flashes of being the guy last year and then you have Wallace as a dep threat CP as the potential weapon if you can get him the ball plus Wright who seems like a solid guy. There is Thielen also.

Had Scherff been there then I would agree. Peat would have been a reach and I'm not sure of what trade down offers were to be made. I don't think teams were wanting to move up. The only other acceptable pick outside Gurley was Parker.

I agree that the Vikes should have went with Parker.
