Dang. I was kind of rooting for the Pelicans in that one since the 3rd seed seemed pretty secure for us and the 2nd seed potentially within our grasp. That's a big road win for OKC.
Q, I still hope for the first seed. But whether we finish 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, I think we have a great chance to make the conference finals. I don't believe OKC can beat us in a 7 game series, regardless of who has the home court advantage.
I give us ~ 25% chance to make the WCF. I hate the Western Conference. Too many really good teams/players and it never seems to balance out with the East.

Yeah, I was too Q. But I see the Pels at the beginning of a 5-game losing streak that very well may lead to an 8th place finish...I think the Ingram loss is going to challenge them. Too bad, because they might have passed the Clips for 4th if they were healthy. And yeah, the OkC win hurts our chances for 2nd.

SGA out tonight against Houston. If he misses a few games, our chances of passing OkC for 2nd place get much better.
Of course, the 2nd seed may get you a matchup with the hottest team coming out of the play-in! 3rd might not be so bad….
Wolves back in 2nd place in the West! SGA is banged up and OKC's schedule ain't getting any easier. Denver is in our gun sights! They are struggling early against Phoenix!

Very true. But I still want home court advantage in the second round. Am I getting ahead of myself?

No. You are aiming too low!
I see Murray is out tonight against the Suns, who have a 7-point lead. Friday's game could be for 1st place!

I'm optimistic about tomorrow's slate. Phoenix coming off a bad loss will be plenty motivated against Denver. Houston is riding a 9 game win streak against OKC who played today. Wolves need to smack the Pistons up and take care of business.

Every dog has his day!
I'll meet you in the sportsbook at the Mirage tonight, Phenom.
Great night for the Wolves last night. Nobody likes to cheer for injuries, but we can at least acknowledge that injuries to Murray and SGA ain't necessarily bad news for our Wolves. And is there any news about why Holmgren only played 18 minutes last night in an overtime game?
So the top 3 has gotten much more interesting. Gotta believe that the Murray injury improves our chances Friday night. and the SGA injury makes OkC's next game against Phx look like a Klunker. Here's where the top 3 stand right now...no need to keep track of the Clippers anymore, although I still think they will finish 4th:
Denver: 58
OkC: 56
Wolves: 55 (but could pull within one of Denver with an upset on Friday)
