I get a lot of things wrong, but me thinking John Collins would be a good addition to the Wolves is a whopper!
There were a lot of pundits that thought the Clippers were a deep team and would near the top of the West. Whoops!
Lip's guy from back in the day! Collins is one of those players that peaked early in his career and then fell off a bit and never became really good at any one thing....just sort of a blah player that was good enough to start and fill in a decent box score, but didn't drive much winning. He's not even that old, yet his play continues to deteriorate.
Ha, I may have liked him as much as Lip did. And in all fairness, he's had a pretty nice career. But he looks like he's cooked at age 28.

Yep, he was my guy in that draft and I was unhappy we passed on him. But I soured on him fairly soon thereafter. Recall that the Hawks were trying to trade him within a few years after drafting him even as he was putting up terrific stats. That was a red flag for me, telling us Collins had issues. Another red flag was the fact that the Hawks had a hard time finding a team willing to trading for him in spite of him impressive stats. I’m sure there’s a back channel of information about Collins known only in NBA front office circles. Note that he was suspended at one point for a positive drug test. Then there was the red flag that his stats didn’t appear to impact winning. Because of those red flags, I recall posting a couple years ago that we should stay away from him. But I sure liked him coming out of college and immediately after his rookie year.

Lamelo is open to a trade. He is an interesting idea. He’s got talent the question is does a change of culture teach him to play winning basketball
Are you replacing Donte in the starting lineup with Lamelo?
Man, I don't see the fit. It's so funny because his brother Lonzo Ball circa 2019-2022 (before his injury) is damn near the ideal archetype of PG you'd want next to Ant and Julius. Great defender and rebounder, not flashy, pass-first mentality, takes good shots, etc...
I agree, Q. Not sure who we’d give up for salary match, but it would certainly be more than Donte and Rob Dillingham. LeMelo would be a poor fit for us and bad for chemistry. Considering what we’d have to give up to get him makes it a non-starter in my view.
I agree that Lonzo is the right Ball for the Wolves. Lonzo is actually playing well this season. I wanted us to trade for him this past offseason.
Note that Tyus Jones is averaging only 11.9 minutes per game this season. He’s shouting under 37% from the field and under 20% from behind the arc. All those numbers put him on par with Rob.

. Yes, minutes matter. I wonder if Tyus is gettable.

Portland pulled the upset at Golden State. So, Golden State doesn't gain any ground on the Wolves.

What’s worse? Losing at Phoenix? Or losing at home to the Sabonas-less Kings?

Ha, by far losing to the Kings (especially for those of us that might have had a bet on Denver- 11 1/2)! If the Wolves lost to Sac-Town at home, the gloom and doom on this board would be immeasurable...and KG4ever would be posting nonstop!
The Suns loss was painful, but I think we only learned two main things from it: 1) that we can hang with the good teams on their own court, and 2) Ant is immensely talented, but has a ways to go to become the guy who can consistently lead a team in clutch time.

We might also find in a few weeks/months that this loss was massively instructive as a teaching tool.
How did we all feel after the Rudy/Randle debacle in Toronto last year? Yet the team grew from that

What's more embarrassing losing to Phoenix or letting Darnold walk for ..... This
