I really thought Houston was going to be good this year, so their recent poor play has surprised me. Similarly I'm surprised at how well the Suns are playing...they (and the Clippers!) are the hottest teams in the Association. Booker has been terrific as has Gillespie. As for Jalen Green, I've always viewed him as being in the mold of a Trae, Ja or Zach...exciting players who don't make their team better. I think the Suns are better off without him.

It's amazing how getting rid of some high-priced/high-maintenance guys that don't quite fit together (Beal, Durant, Ayton a couple years earlier) and bringing in some smart, gritty workers like Gillespie can make a huge difference. No one should be shocked that Gillespie came from Villanova when Jay Wright was still coaching there.
