Portland has lots of valuable draft picks and that might be enough along with Holiday, and Camaraderie. It will be interesting to see what happens. And of course, a lot depends on how hot the market is right now for Brown. But my gut tells me Boston won’t deal Brown to Portland without getting Deni in return.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 4:34 pmWhy not?
They can build an offer around Holiday, Camara and a bunch of picks and works financially.

If I’m Boston, I’ll take Camara, Sharpe and three firsts if Deni is also included. Boston is in win-now mode. Three firsts along with Sharpe and Camara isn’t enough. And we’re talking about Jaylen Brown, a former Finals MVP. No deal without Deni. If I’m Boston, I might accept 2 future firsts but Deni, Sharpe and Camara would have to be included. I have to believe Scoot will be moved at some point soon. Portland now has a glut of PGs in Ja, Jrue, Dame and Scoot. Meanwhile, Portland has no starting PF on their roster. So if the Blazers land Brown, they’ll still need to acquire a starting PF. It will be interesting to see how this develops.Mnwild1128 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 6:37 pmIf i am Boston, i NEED Camara and Sharpe plus at least 3 firsts.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 6:04 pmYou could be right, Wild. They aren't trading Deni. Camara is worth a 1st. Sharpe is worth at least a first. And three others is 5 total in value at least.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 7:45 pmIf I’m Boston, I’ll take Camara, Sharpe and three firsts if Deni is also included. Boston is in win-now mode. They plan to pair Deni with someone. Not get rid of him. Deni now, is about just as good as Brown.
Re: 2026 FA/Trades/Resigns
You might be right. I certainly would NOT trade Deni as part of a package for Jaylen. But I just think Deni would be a necessary part of the package for Boston to do the deal because of Boston’s win-now imperative with Jason Tatum. Generically, the package you’re talking about has high value but I don’t think it would be the right value for a team like Boston that’s in full win-now mode. Having said that, Boston could move those picks and either Camara or Sharpe for a couple high-level win-now players. So maybe we’ll see a deal along the lines you’re suggesting but with a third team. It one of several interesting NBA dramas in play right now.Mnwild1128 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 9:01 pmThey aren't trading Deni. Camara is worth a 1st. Sharpe is worth at least a first. If Portland I'm selling high on Deni. With his contract and coming off an all star year his value isn't gonna be higher and he isn't a piece you build around imo.
Probably a non consensus opinion but I think ceiling is pretty capped

I hope Deni gets traded to Brooklyn so Julius has to play behind the guy who made the Allstar game that Julius played off the floor post Allstar break and literally tanked his mood to the point of cratering his valueAussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 8:29 am If Portland I'm selling high on Deni. Jock Landale is getting the near full MLE in Atlanta. That's one MLE off the board.
