I just can't believe Indiana couldn't get more for Paul George or take that Boston deal. That pisses me off more than anything, because if OKC came up empty handed this offseason, they might be a team that slips a notch (Westbrook is bound to slow down a bit or get hurt, no?). Instead, a team from the East bails them out and makes our path more difficult.
If Milsap goes to Denver, I will absolutely lose it.
Do you think it's time to rethink the playoffs or even the conferences? Mix the Eastern and Western conference teams after they get into the playoffs, seeding by record regardless of conference? Top 16 records into the playoffs no matter the conference? Get rid of the conferences altogether? I honestly think it's time to at least start talking about these questions.
They need to do something. It's one thing if things shift every few years, but the West is seemingly always better from top to bottom. ESPN showed a graphic the other day that 14 of the top 15 players are now in the West. That is ridiculous.
