Here's more for those of you who, like me, take a guilty, perverse pleasure in relishing the agony of others.

Some random Denver podcaster who looks like a local sports news reporter from 30 years ago. Kind of hilarious actually.

Wow, that 1st guy was so awesomely awkward. Ahahaha. It gives me hope that maybe I should try being a sports reporter? I'm pretty awkward. I can totally do that!

Straight dawgs, this team is so fun to watch even if they’re infuriating from time to time.

Shoutout to KAT the defense on Jokic this entire series was so impressive especially when the DPOY struggled mightily.
With the season on the line Jaden stepped up massively in BACK to BACK games.

Wolves fans in Denver. Insane amounts and it came through on TV. They took over that arena like they did vs Phoenix in game 4 and this game was actually close. Loved hearing how loud they were.

I’m gonna have to take another shower today after sweating throughout the entire game. Celebrate this tonight and back to business tomorrow. The job IS NOT DONE!
Yosi, I noticed the same thing. I think there was a strong Wolves contingent of fans there, which is awesome.

Like any good, neurotic/superstitious fool - I followed the same pattern I've been doing all year. I didn't watch the game, but followed online until half. Then went to bed thinking "well - it was a good run". Wow. Now I'm really caught in a quandary because I'm assuming some of these games will be on free TV :?

On the one hand I'm ecstatic we get at least another couple weeks of high intensity playoff ball. On the other I'm not really sure what i just watched. Going to stay up and watch the whole thing again. This is for the die-hard Wolves fans that you all are. So happy for all of you.
This has been a long time coming for so many of us, Cool. I’m happy for all of us - grizzled vets and newcomers - who’ve been waiting for this moment. Here we are on KG’s birthday, coming back from 20 points down exactly 20 years after KG led us to our last game 7 win for our only prior trip to the Western Conference finals in franchise history. There’s magic in the air. I’m still floating among the clouds. Like you, I’m tempted to watch the game again tonight since I can’t sleep. But I’m going to save my DVD re-watch until tomorrow.

Let’s all savor the moment. This is a terrific team and it’s been an incredibly fun season. But we’re not done yet. We’ve come this far. Let’s keep the magic going against Dallas and beyond.
Lip! Hope you are able to get to some of the WCF playoff games, we need a Lip Game Report from you!

I re-watched the second half this morning because I was in such a daze real-time with it. It was good to soak it in and really see how the comeback unfolded. I think a lot of it had to do with Denver just getting worn down over a 7-game series.

To me, one of the major stories of this team's season is the cutting down of turnovers. We don't have a great halfcourt offense to begin with, but the TOs were just killing us in the first half of the regular season.

We had only 7 turnovers last night. When you aren't shooting yourself in the foot, you give yourself a real chance. That run we made last night wasn't all beautiful basketball, as we had our fair share of missed shots, but it was largely mistake-free basketball.

- Resiliency. Championship-level teams are resilient. This Wolves team is incredibly resilient.

- Karl Anthony Towns is gonna finally get some love. He repeatedly has done what other star players would absolutely not do. All the while, he gets ripped for being corny, his high-pitched voice, being a stat padder, struggling in the playoffs, not playing defense, being out of control, being dumb, etc.

Very good defense. Very good offense. He's guarded Kevin Durant and Nikola Jokic in back-to-back series. And the team is 8 - 3. Good for him.

- Rudy Gobert is gonna finally get some love. Not many NBA players get as much irrational hate as this guy (ahem... see above). But he had some big plays down the stretch, hit free throws and changed the culture of this team.

Good for him.

- Mike Conley got over the proverbial hump, too. He wanted it bad... and was too amped in that first half. The shot at 72-72 was not a great shot... but it was a GREAT shot.

- 94 games... Denver scored under 100 only 11 times. Minnesota did it to them 5 times in 11 games. Tim Connelly is getting a very hefty raise.

- Two Denver players combined for 69 points. Nobody else scored more than 7. Minnesota had 6 guys in double figures. They're just the better team.

- When Minnesota is on its game defensively... the close-outs and rotations are spectacular. Most of us have mentioned in various gameday threads this season that we rewatched defensive possessions. First time ever! Who knew defense was fun... and wins championships!

- WCF is cool. But this team is special. And that means they're only halfway to the goal. The Minnesota Timberwolves could actually win the NBA title. Wow.

Wow.

Abe, I think a similar formula will apply to Dallas. Gotta make Luka and Kyrie work for their offense, but more importantly is limiting the others. No way in hell should we allow PJ Washington to average 18 PPG like he did against OKC.

We got back home after 12 hours on the road just in time for kickoff, and our mood at the half was the same as what I read on this thread. And then the defense happened. What an effort by KAT and Jaden! I didn't look at the box score until this morning, but I don't think anyone would think the Wolves won if they just took a quick look. I guess what we learned is this: a true team can beat two extraordinary players.

Hmm...now we get another team with two extraordinary players. Let's go kick their butts!

Yes. The culture has flipped to defense. It's what Edwards talks about in his post game. This team has bought into it with all their hearts. How many friggin' years have we endured guys like DLO that thought if they put up 20 it didn't matter what they did on defense? This is so refreshing. You see what defense does to teams. It literally breaks their spirit. I watched some of the replay clips. We were in their brains!
